百里杜鹃是国家级森林公园、省级风景名胜区和自然保护区，是迄今为止中国已查明的面积最大品种最多的原生杜鹃林，素有“地球彩带，世界花园”等诸多美誉。是国家4a级旅游景区，位于贵州省西北部毕节毕节试验区中部，现已查明，有马缨杜鹃、大白花杜鹃等41个品种。花色多样，绚烂生辉。每年3月到5月次第开放。有普底的红岩峰、白岩峰，金坡的五指峰等山峰景观；有窃窃私语的“千年一吻”奇石景观；还有休憩养心的理想场所百里杜鹃湖等。
百里杜鹃景区内主要居住有彝族、苗族、布依族等少数民族，民族风情浓郁。尤其是彝族、传统节日彝族年、火把节，苗族的插花节和跳花坡，它们别具一格，令人神往；民族民间工艺――刺绣、蜡染、等独具特色。
百里杜鹃风景名胜区共分为普底景区、金坡景区、仁和景区、大水景区，下面，我们请大家动用你们摄影师的眼，艺术家的心，跟我一起走进这花的海洋、神奇的世界――百里杜鹃景区。
普底景区
（站在黄普路景观台上）各位游客，请往后看，这里有彝族神王阿鲁射日的传奇故事石刻。再往前看，跃入我们眼帘的就是百里杜鹃湖。这里流传着一个凄凉的爱情故事。相传很久以前，有一位美丽善良的苗家姑娘名叫多彩，爱上了憨厚勤劳的彝族小伙阿纳，多彩出身名门，阿纳确是地地道道的穷人。因门第观念，这对恋人的爱情遭到了多彩父母的极力反对，狠心将俩人拆散，多彩别无选择，纵身从悬岩上跳下，以死殉情。阿纳得知后，每天坐在这块岩石上痛哭，泪水不断从岩石上流下，日复一日，阿纳坐化为岩石，泪水就形成了瀑布，瀑布不断流入山谷，汇成了这个百里杜鹃湖。
各位游客，我们现在游览的景点叫“五彩路”。多年来，人们发现盛花季节，漫山落英缤纷，遍野如同天上云彩，“五彩路”因此得名。整片花区连绵不断，此起彼伏，这里的杜鹃花鲜艳美丽，五彩缤纷，走在这里如临仙境。各位游客请看，红的有大红、水红、粉红，白的有纯白、黄白、灰白，紫的有深紫、淡紫、红紫，黄有乳黄、浅黄等。鲜蔷薇色的是团花杜鹃，浅肉色的是皱皮杜鹃，玫瑰色的是锦绣杜鹃。百里杜鹃大草原

The hundred-mile cuckoo, also called Bailidujuan in Chinese, is a national forest park, provincial scenic spot and nature reserve. It is the largest original rhododendron forest with the largest area and the largest variety identified in China so far. It is known as "earth color belt, world garden, " and many other reputations. It is a national 4A level scenic spots and located in the central part of bijie experimental area in northwest guizhou province. PuDi scenic spot（普底景区）

Legend has it that long long ago, there was a beautiful and kind miao girl named Duocai fell in love with an honest and hard-working yi nationality boy A’na. Duocai’s family was extremely rich, but A’na is really a poor man. Due to the idea of family, this pair of lovers' love was strongly opposed by Duocai’s parents and the two people was cruelly separated. Duocai had no choice but jump from the hanging rock and died. After that, A’na sit on the rock crying every day. His tears shed from the rock. Day after day, A’na sat into the rock, tears formed a waterfall, flowing into the valley and formed the hundred mile cuckoo lake. Ladies and gentlemen, the scenic spot we are visiting now is called "colorful road". Over the years, people found when the flowering season comes, the diffuse falling flowers are scattered on the road, just like the clouds in the sky, so we call this road "colorful road". Cuckoo prairie（百里杜鹃大草场）
Dear visitors, the scenic spot we are going to now is baili cuckoo prairie. The average annual temperature on the grassland is about 11℃. The climate is warm and humid, and the air is fresh. There is no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer，so it’s just like a natural air-conditioner. It is the most suitable place for visitors to avoid hot weather. Due to the influence of high altitude climate and wind, most of the plants on the grassland are alpine dwarf rhododendron,, mosses, and herbages. On the prairie, the ethnic minority customs are extremely rich. You can sing with yi and miao girls and boys, dance with them hand in hand and enjoy the ease that will never be found in the city.
