China's 14th National Games closes in Xi'an
第十四届全运会在西安闭幕

China's 14th National Games, billed as the country's "mini-Olympics," closed on Monday evening. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang officially declared the Games closed in the ceremony held at the Xi'an Olympic Center Gymnasium. 
中华人民共和国第十四届运动会9月27日晚圆满落下帷幕。国务院总理李克强出席了在西安奥体中心体育馆举行的闭幕式并宣布运动会闭幕。全运会素有我国"小奥运"之称。

A number of records, including 12 world and two Asian records, were surpassed or broken in shooting, weightlifting, athletics, track cycling, sport climbing and swimming. The 15th National Games will take place in Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macao, in 2025. 
本届全运会在射击、举重、田径、场地自行车、竞技攀岩和游泳等项目上超12项世界纪录、创2项亚洲纪录。第十五届全运会将于2025年在广东、香港、澳门举办。

Hong Kong retains sound business environment
香港发布首份营商环境报告

Hong Kong has always maintained its institutional strengths which are favorable for doing business under "one country, two systems," a report of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said on Monday. Paul Chan, financial secretary of the HKSAR government, released the "Report on Hong Kong's Business Environment: A Place with Unique Advantages and Unlimited Opportunities" at a news conference. 
香港特区政府9月27日发布《香港营商环境报告：优势独特 机遇无限》。报告指出，在"一国两制"的基础上，香港将长期保持有利营商的制度优势。

Hong Kong enjoys a sound business environment and a bright future, with a vibrant growth impetus and huge opportunities, Chan said. "One country, two systems" has been the cornerstone of Hong Kong's economic development since the global financial hub returned to the motherland in 1997, according to the report. The report stressed Hong Kong's position as an international center for finance, commerce and trade, a home for corporate headquarters, and a major hub for investment, transportation and logistics.
香港特区政府财政司司长陈茂波当日在新闻发布会上表示，香港营商环境良好，而且前景靓丽，有着活泼的发展动力和庞大的机遇。报告指出，自1997年香港回归以来，"一国两制"一直是香港经济发展的基石。报告强调了香港作为国际金融、商贸和总部中心，以及主要投资、运输和物流枢纽的地位。

Water levels of the Yellow River rise
黄河水位上涨应急响应启动

China on Monday launched a level III emergency response for flood control as water levels of the Yellow River, the country's second-longest river, continue to rise following heavy rainfall, said the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR). The water flow at the Tongguan hydrology station in the middle of the river has increased rapidly, reaching 5,020 cubic meters per second at 3:48 pm Monday. The Yiluo River and Qinhe River in the middle reaches of the Yellow River also showed signs of flooding. The water levels at the Huayuankou hydrology station rose to 4,020 cubic meters per second at 9 pm Monday, said the MWR. 
据水利部消息，受近期降雨影响，中国第二长河黄河的水位持续上涨，水利部9月27日启动水旱灾害防御Ⅲ级应急响应。黄河中游潼关站流量迅速上涨，至9月27日15时48分，潼关站流量涨至5020立方米每秒。位于黄河流域中游的支流伊洛河、沁河出现明显洪水过程。9月27日21时，黄河花园口站流量涨至4020立方米每秒。

The ministry has dispatched three work teams to the provincial regions of Shandong, Henan, and Shaanxi to guide local flood-control work, including strengthening dike inspection and relocating people under threat.
水利部增派3个工作组分赴山东、河南、陕西，指导督促做好各项防范应对工作，包括加强堤防的巡查防守和人员的转移避险。

Biden gets COVID-19 vaccine booster shot
拜登接种新冠疫苗加强针

US President Joe Biden on Monday received his COVID-19 vaccine booster shot on camera at the White House. "Boosters are important, but the most important thing we need to do is get more people vaccinated," Biden said before getting his booster shot. About 23% of eligible Americans haven't gotten any shot, said the president. 
当地时间9月27日，美国总统拜登在白宫接种了新冠疫苗加强针(第三针)，并进行了电视直播。拜登在接种前说："接种加强针很重要，但我们需要做的最重要的事情是让更多的人接种疫苗。"拜登说，大约23%符合接种资格的美国民众尚未接种新冠疫苗。

Some 20 million Americans are eligible for a third shot of the Pfizer vaccine, according to a CNN report. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week recommended Pfizer boosters for older adults, long-term care facility residents, some people with underlying health conditions and adults at increased risk of COVID-19 because of their jobs.
据美国有线电视新闻网报道，大约有2000万美国民众符合接种辉瑞公司新冠疫苗加强针的资格。美国疾病控制与预防中心上周建议为老年人、入住长期护理机构的民众、有基础疾病的民众、以及在高风险环境工作的成年人接种辉瑞疫苗加强针。
