北京一公园再现'神翻译'

Yuan Dadu City Wall Ruins Park, an urban park and historic site in Beijing, has earned unwanted attention and laughter for its poor translations of signposts.

元大都城垣遗址公园是北京的一座城市公园和历史景点，近日因园内指示牌上的蹩脚翻译而引来不必要的关注和人们的耻笑。

Built to preserve the ruins of the northern city wall of Dadu, capital of the Yuan Dynasty, the park has many scenic spots with different themes.

这个公园是为保护大都，即元朝首都北城墙遗址而建，公园内有许多不同主题的景点。

The most hilarious sign is at the park's west gate simply translated as "Simon", leaving many baffled as to its true meaning. 

最引人发笑的标牌是公园西门被直译成"Simon"，让许多人不知所云，感到费解。

West Gate is pronounced Ximen in Chinese, somewhat of the sound of "Simon." 

"西门"的中文发音是"Ximen"，音节有几分像"Simon"。

The Department of Landscape and Forestry of Haidian District, administrator of the park, said the translation errors will be corrected soon.

元大都管理部门海淀区园林绿化局称，很快将纠正这些翻译错误。

Social media stresses women out

Women start feeling much more insecure about themselves after spending just an hour a day looking at other people's photographs on social media, researchers warn. 

研究人员警告说，只需每天在社交媒体上花一个小时看他人的照片，女性就会开始对自身形象感到不安。

Users experience a rise in concern about their looks and worries about how others view them. 

社交媒体用户愈加对自己的外表感到担忧，并担心他人会如何看待自己。

Feelings of pressure to exercise to be toned and slim also increase after that time. 

对于锻炼出姣好苗条身材的压力也会随之增加。

Academics asked 100 women how long they spent time online checking Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest before giving them a detailed questionnaire on body image. 

学者们调查了100位女性，询问她们花多长时间在网上浏览脸书，Instagram和Pinterest，然后让她们填写一张关于身形的详细问卷。

They were asked questions such as how much they agreed that slender and toned women were attractive or if they worried whether the clothes they wore made them look good. 

这些女性被问到像"多大程度同意身材姣好苗条的女性更有吸引力"或"是否担心自己的衣服穿起来好看"这样的问题。

Dr Martin Graff, who led the study, said: "There was a thin ideal for women before social media, that has been the case for decades, but social media makes it a lot more powerful."

Lego builds mini royal wedding

'乐高版'皇室婚礼出炉

Attraction park Legoland has unveiled a miniature model of this month's royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle, built by a team of 11 model makers who used almost 60,000 pieces of Lego bricks.

乐高乐园近日推出了哈里王子与梅根•马克尔将在本月在温莎城堡举行的皇室婚礼的乐高迷你模型，这组模型由11位模型师组成的团队完成，使用了近六万块乐高积木。

The replica includes a 60-brick Markle in her wedding dress and veil, with Harry by her side. The couple are riding on a brick-built carriage being drawn by horses along Windsor Great Park's Long Walk toward the castle, surrounded by 500 spectators, recreating the real-life procession planned for the big day on May 19. 

该婚礼复制品中包括一个由60块乐高积木搭成、穿着婚纱并戴着面纱的梅根•马克尔，以及她旁边的哈里王子。这对夫妇正坐在一辆由马匹拉着的砖砌马车上，沿着温莎公园的长径向城堡驶去，围观群众有500人，展现了即将在5月19日举行的皇室婚礼中的游行场景。

Lego said the wedding scene replica, which took 592 hours to build, will be on permanent display at its theme park, just 5 km from the real Windsor Castle.

Titanic themed party accused

The Hello hitmaker Adele hosted a lavish Titanic themed party in Beverly Hills, dressing as Rose, the protagonist from James Cameron's epic 1997 disaster movie, but some fans questioned whether the costumes were in poor taste.

近日，使歌曲《Hello》轰动一时的歌手阿黛尔在贝弗利山举办了一场以《泰坦尼克号》为主题的奢华派对。阿黛尔扮成詹姆斯•卡梅隆1997年执导的史诗级灾难片中的主角"露丝"的样子，但部分粉丝质疑这样的扮相是否有低级趣味之嫌。

Adele revealed the party was the "best night of her life". The singer took to her Instagram account to share a number of black and white images from inside the party, including one of her throwing shapes on the dancefloor wearing a life jacket. 

阿黛尔透露称，这场派对是"她一生中最美好的夜晚"，并在其Instagram账号上分享了若干派对上的黑白照片，其中包括一张她穿着救生衣在舞池"摇摆"的照片。

But the theme seemed to upset some Adele fans who branded it "distasteful". "Does Adele realize that the Titanic movie was based off the actual sinking that ship where 1500 people died? Not exactly a good party theme," one wrote.

但派对的主题似乎使阿黛尔的部分粉丝颇感失望，为其打上"令人不快的"标签。一位粉丝写道："阿黛尔是否意识到这部泰坦尼克号电影是根据真实事件拍摄的，沉船吞没了1500人的生命？我不认为这是很好的派对主题。"
