Millions of dollars are spent on space research every year. Some people argue that the money should be spent on improving living standards on Earth. Do you agree or disagree?

The exploitation of space has directly changed our world. Satellites orbiting the Earth allow us to communicate instantaneously with people on different continents, and to broadcast to people all over the world.
2.Satisfy human’s curiosity, could even find the origin of human being
3.Weather satellites save lives by giving advance warning of adverse conditions, and together with other scientific instruments in orbit they have helped us understand our own world better.
4.Space exploration is an investment in the future. Our world is rapidly running out of resources. 
5.Overpopulation could become a serious worldwide threat. There is possibility that one day mankind may emigrate to other planets.
1.Highly extravagant, in terms of money and human resources
2.The immediate profit is not visible to the general public, research and development could take decades or even centuries
3.Non essential compared to poverty alleviation, health care and citizen’s welfare
4.More powerful weapons, space force, devastating destruction, mass destructive weapons
