传统月饼推出创新口味

Mooncakes, the seasonal treat shared by families and friends during Mid-Autumn Festival, have become a focus of competition among pastry makers, with the traditional holiday for family reunions less than a week away. 

距中秋节还有不到一周时间，在这个象征团圆的节日里，月饼是家人朋友常分享的一种时令小吃，因此也成为了糕点厂商的必争之地。

Traditional fillings such as lotus seed paste with egg yolk for popular Cantonese-style mooncakes and other common fillings like sweet bean paste, jujube paste and the "five kernels" (a mix of walnuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, almonds and sunflower seeds) are not the only game in town. 

目前市面上的月饼多数使用传统馅料，譬如广式月饼中颇受欢迎的莲蓉蛋黄馅，以及豆沙馅、枣泥馅、和五仁馅(包括核桃仁、花生仁、芝麻仁、杏仁和瓜子仁)等，但绝不仅限于此。

Xinya Cantonese Restaurant, which is popular in Shanghai for its seasonal pastries, is promoting mooncakes with mustard tuna fish floss filling and green Sichuan pepper bass fish paste. 

上海一家因时令糕点而闻名的餐馆新雅粤菜馆正在推销芥香金枪鱼月饼和藤椒鱼月饼。

Kam Wah Gift, a bakery company, has joined a partnership with plant-based "meat" producer Starfield to design two mooncakes - rose black truffle and matsutake mushroom with artificial meat. 

糕点企业锦华礼与植物肉品牌Starfield合作研发了两款月饼——玫瑰黑松露人造肉月饼和松茸人造肉月饼。

Pagoda, a retail fruit chain with 4,000 outlets in China, has also joined the race, with its first mooncake products featuring healthy ingredients. The company claims its mooncakes have zero artificial fragrances and dyes, and use antioxidant starch to replace preservatives.

在全国拥有4000家门店的水果零售连锁店百果园则加入了推出首款健康馅料月饼的角逐，该公司声称其月饼不含任何人工香精和色素，用抗氧化淀粉取代了防腐剂。

US electric automaker Tesla has filed a lawsuit with the US Court of International Trade in New York, which aims to prevent the US government from collecting tariffs on car parts it imports from China, according to a Bloomberg report on Wednesday. 

据彭博社9月23日报道，美国电动汽车制造商特斯拉在纽约的美国国际贸易法院对美国政府提起诉讼，目的是为了阻止后者对特斯拉从中国进口的汽车零部件征收关税。

The case seeks an order to declare the duties unlawful and a refund with interest on the amount it has already paid. US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer is named as the defendant in the case. 

特斯拉希望法庭判决关税违法，并退还特斯拉已经支付的关税和利息。美国贸易代表罗伯特•莱特希泽为本案被告。

Tesla is challenging the actions he made, arguing that the increased cost of imports would hurt the financial state of the company, the report said. The company aimed to avoid the 25% tariffs on the Chinese-made computer and central display screens used in its Model 3 sedans. 

据报道，特斯拉对莱特希泽所采取的行动提出质疑，认为进口成本的增加将损害公司的财务状况。特斯拉希望免除对其Model 3轿车上安装的中国造车载电脑和中央显示屏征收的25%的关税。

3 / New entry rules for foreigners

外国人入境政策有调整

China will allow the entry of foreign nationals holding three categories of valid Chinese residence permits starting on Monday, according to an announcement jointly made by the Foreign Ministry and the National Immigration Administration. 

根据外交部、国家移民管理局联合发布的公告，自9月28日起，我国将允许持三类有效居留许可的外国人入境。

The new rule allows foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal matters or reunions to enter China without applying for new visas, said the announcement. 

新规允许持有效中国工作类、私人事务类和团聚类居留许可的外国人入境，相关人员无需重新申办签证。

It also said that if the three categories of residence permits held by foreign nationals expired after midnight on March 28, the holders may re-apply by presenting the expired residence permits and relevant materials to the Chinese embassy or consulate on the condition that the purpose of their visit to China remains unchanged. While ensuring effective epidemic control, the Chinese government will continue resuming people-to-people exchanges in  an orderly manner.

如外国人持有的上述三类居留许可于2020年3月28日零时后过期，持有人在来华事由不变的情况下，可凭过期居留许可和有关材料向中国驻外使领馆申办相应签证入境。中方将在确保防疫安全前提下，逐步有序恢复中外人员往来。

全球科研城市榜单出炉

Beijing ranked as the top science city globally, followed by New York, Boston, San Francisco/San Jose and Shanghai, in the Nature Index global science city 2020 rankings. 

近日发布的"自然指数-科研城市2020"将北京列为全球科研城市首位，纽约、波士顿、旧金山-圣何塞地区和上海紧随其后。

Four other Chinese cities - Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Hefei - ranked among the top 20 global science cities. David Swinbanks, founder of the Nature Index, said a concentration of talent, funding, research institutions and other resources is crucial for the top five global science cities to maintain their leading positions. 

除北京之外，还有四座中国城市——南京、武汉、广州、合肥跻身全球科研城市排行前20位。自然指数创始人戴维•斯文班克斯表示，人才、资金、研究机构和其它资源的集中，是全球五大科研城市保持领先地位的重要因素。

A key metric used by the index is "share" - a city's contribution to science publication in its own country. 

该指数使用的一个关键指标是"份额"，即一个城市对本国科学出版物的贡献。

Data shows Beijing's contribution to China was 21%, more than double that of any other city in the top five. Beijing is also home to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which, at the institutional level, leads the index in share and acts as a central hub of Chinese scientific collaboration.
