The head of the Americanmedia giant CBS has resigned with immediate effect following
allegations of sexual misconduct. Les Moonveshas been under investigation by the company since allegations appeared in the New Yorker magazine in July.Accusations from six more women appeared on Sunday. Mr. Moonves has deniedwrongdoing.
美国媒体巨头CBS总裁在受到不当性行为指控后辞职，且立即生效。自7月《纽约客》杂志报道了他的不当性行为后，CBS公司就在对莱斯利·穆恩维斯进行调查。周日，又有六名女性指控他，而穆恩维斯否认了不当行为。
Initially, they focusedon a sizable severance package said to be in the region of about a hundredmillion dollars but the new allegations of sexual misconduct have apparentlyprompted CBS to rethink the terms of his departure.

CBS is now sayingthat it will donate twenty million dollars from any severance payout to
organizations thatsupport the ‘me too’ movement and it will suspend any further payment pending theoutcome of the internal investigation into Les Moonves behavior.

Many of brazil'smost important historic artifacts are believed to have been destroyed by a hugefire that's torn through the National museum in Rio de Janeiro.
