1. A brief tweet by the Saudi press agency hasannounced that families will be allowed to attend stadiums in the country’sthree main cities , Riyadh ,Jeddah and Dammam from early next year.

That means that Saudi women for thefirst time will be able to go to football matches in the country’s lavishstadiums. It’s another chink in the wall of restrictions around Saudi women,bringing them further into the center of the country’s public life.

今天想跟大家聊一聊诗歌，所以这期的主题是 “words foryou 献给你的诗”。不知道大家有没有读诗的习惯，我个人是非常喜欢读诗的，尤其是浪漫的爱情诗和有趣的故事体诗歌。
不同于热衷描写家国，仕途的中国诗，英文诗更多的是描写爱情。下面这首 “她在美中徜徉“就是英国19世纪的浪漫主义诗人拜伦所写的一首歌颂女性美丽的抒情诗，诗中的女性是作者拜伦的表妹威尔莫特夫人。拜伦在一次舞会上偶遇身着黑色丧服的威尔莫特夫人，随即被她的美丽所打动，便写下了这首诗。这首诗中的许多句子都特别生动，仿佛让人看见了一位栩栩如生的美人。比如“One shade more, one ray less, had half impaired the namelessgrace.”这句，颇像古代中国宋玉描写“东家之子”的美：增之一分则太长，减之一分则太短，著粉则太白，施朱则太赤。”
