Off to the Woods

“Let’s go for a hike,” said Dad.“

“Great!” said Rudy. “I’ll get my things.”

First, he looked for his backpack.

“Where is my backpack?” he asked.

“It’s in the closet,” said Mom.

Next, he looked for his boots.

“Where are my boots?” he wondered. 

Then he remembered. They were under his bed.

Rudy put on his boots. He picked up his backpack.

“Ready?” asked Dad.

“Almost,” said Rudy. “Where is my cap?”

“It’s on your head,” said Dad.

Rudy patted his head and laughed. “Ready!” he said.

“Let’s go!” said Dad.
