Good morning
Today, I’m going to teach you an idiom that you can use right away. Even if you’re chatting online on WeChat or QQ with others in English. You can use this idiom to express its meaning.
Think of times that you had too much to do. Perhaps you started a new project that took up a lot of your time and then, perhaps at work or school, your boss or teacher gave you more work to do.
I know a student who was preparing for her IELTS exam and then started taking another course to prepare for the SAT exam. She wanted to study in America. She had more to do than was possible for her to do.
Idiom
Bite Off More Than You Can Chew
Meaning: Take on something that is too much to handle; too much responsibility at one time
Practice
I’ve been working so hard lately and with the class I’m taking, I think I bit off more than I can chew.
As Bob prepared for TOEFL, SAT and still did his classwork, he realized that he had bitten off more than he could chew.
You bite off more than you can chew when you try to do too much at one time.
Try to use this idiom in your conversations. Others will understand your meaning when you do. You’ll sound much more like a native English speaker.
That’s all for today.
Goodbye for now.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thankyou!
