New year means new beginning, new plans, new goals, and new actions. What are your new year resolutions? Here are some words you can use when you make your new year plans:

I plan to do 我打算做。。。

Learn how to do sth 学习如何做。。。
Be better at sth/ doing sth 在某方面更好。。
Master sth 熟练掌握。。。
Be competitive at doing sth 在某方面更有竞争力。。。
Make progresses 取得进步
Improve 提高，进步

Every day/ every week.. 每天，每周

Example: I want to get six packs this year. I will work out daily. I plan to work out every day. If I can accomplish my goal by the end of May, I will reward myself with a summer vocation to show off my abs. I will have my husband as my accountability partner to hold me accountable to accomplish my goal.
