Mobile phones are bad for us. But no-one ever actually puts their phone down after hearing reports confirming this.

What if children told you exactly how your WhatsApping, Instagramming, emailing and news-reading makes them feel? "I hate my mum's phone and I wish she never had one," one primary school child wrote in a class assignment.

American school teacher Jen Adams Beason posted the comment on Facebook, and revealed that four out of 21 students said they wished mobile phones had never been invented.

It was posted last Friday and has been shared almost 170,000 times since, including from shocked parents who are thinking twice about their technology habits.

Whether you prefer sophisticated or simple music can reveal a lot about your personality. If you like simple acoustic tunes, you are likely to be talkative and energetic, and if you're an opera lover, then you're probably insightful and imaginative.

That's according to two major studies conducted by psychologists from Cambridge University that have revealed the relationship between music and personality.

According to the study, "open" personalities liked "sophisticated" music over tunes that were mellow. This may be because people who score highly for openness like to learn new things. Extroverts preferred "unpretentious" music categorized as relaxing and acoustic.
研究发现，开放型的人喜欢复杂的音乐，而非柔和的音乐。这也许是因为开放型的人更喜欢学习新事物。外向的人更喜欢让人放松的朴实的原声音乐。

Those who have a well-developed ability to understand thoughts and feelings in themselves and others, so-called "empathizers", prefer mellow music that evokes deep emotion. People who can identify patterns and systems, known as "systemizers", prefer intense music that forms complex sounds.

The Home Office has hiked fee sharply for UK nationals to renounce their British nationality, following a Brexit surge in people adopting the citizenship of other European countries. Ministers were accused of "cashing in on Brexit" after it emerged fees were quietly raised to more than ￡1,000 for a family of three.

In April, the Home Office raised the renunciation fee per person by more than ￡50, going from ￡321 to ￡372. Many of the 1.3 million British people living abroad in other EU countries have sought foreign citizenship since the EU referendum.

While most would prefer to see cockroaches squashed under a shoe, the creepy critters may soon be popping up on cafe menus. Cockroach milk could become a new addition to the superfood craze, with food-conscious Australians opting for a dairy alternative in their morning coffee.
