Product No.7542

Unfermented Pu’er Tea Cake – An exemplary product featuring advanced technology, high quality and enduring popularity. Product No.7542 was developed by Menghai Tea Factory in 1975 through its superb technology of blending and matching. It’s also one of the major products that has been in continual production and may well be called a hereditary treasure of TAETEA. The consistent and rich flavors of this product have been appreciated by tea lovers since a long time ago. Its pleasant aromas of flowers and fruits being known and enjoyed throughout the country, the product has been regarded by those in the tea industry as an exemplary product for evaluating unfermented Pu’er tea quality. Classic products such as 88 green, 73 green cake, and purple TAETEA, etc. all belong to the Product No.7542 series, which confirms the market status of Product No. 7542.

Product features

This product has thick tea leaves as its lining and tender leaves and buds on its surface and it ranks Grade 4 in terms of comprehensive quality. As a result of careful blending and matching, the tea cake features a fleshy structure, thick and strong internal tea leaves and external tea leaves shining black and with fine buds showing. Moreover, during later stages of storage, the tea will undergo myriad changes. The product boasts strong aromas of flowers and fruits, a strong flavor and a sweet aftertaste.

T1: Tastes mild and gives off strong aromas of flowers and fruits.

T2: Tastes mellow with strong sense of convergence and leaves a sweet aftertaste for a long time.

T3-5: Taste mellow, rich flavors and well-structured, gives off strong aromas of flowers and fruits that keep the tea drinker in a good mood and makes him or her feel as if staying in an orchard full of fruits. 

T6-7: A mellow and sweet taste that makes the drinker feel good in the mouth and gives off enduring aromas of flowers and fruits even after the cup is emptied.

Note: “T” represents tea soup (cha tang). Coincidentally, it is not only the initial of “Tea,” but also the initial of “tang.” “T1” refers to the first brew of tea, “T2” stands for the second brew and it goes on.

Product No.7742 – A tea product produced according to a classical formula and having tastes of aged tea. 

Product No.7742 is a classical, aged unfermented Pu’er tea cake produced in Menghai Tea Factory. Its raw materials are spring tea leaves from Menghai tea plantations that have fermented naturally for 3-5 years and have reached Grade 4 in comprehensive quality. Developed on the basis of a traditional formula dating back to 1977, the product boasts quality features of aged tea. The product with a trade mark number marks a new height among all tea products. As a new product with aged tea leaves as major materials, it presents an aged flavor to drinkers and is significant for the market of collection and drinking. 

Product features: 

With aged tea leaves as major materials, this product is produced through careful blending and matching. On its surface, the tea leaves are twisted tight, thin and neat, showing a shiny black and fine fuzz. The tea soup is orange and transparent, tastes sticky, and has a strong and full flavor and a quick, sweet aftertaste that promotes saliva in the mouth. The aged aroma is so strong that it can stay in the mouth for a long time.

Product No.8582, once exclusively supplied to tea merchants in Hong Kong 

This product first appeared in 1985, as a customized tea product for Nam Tin Trade (Hong Kong). Once exclusively and consecutively supplied and distributed to this company, it has been consistently loved by tea merchants and drinkers in Hong Kong and Taiwan. It has become another kind of much popularized traditional unfermented Pu’er tea cake produced by Menghai Tea Factory, ranking among the top five classical products of TAETEA. Because of the relative maturity of the tea’s raw materials and its relatively small concentration of pectin and its relatively low viscosity, the tea strips of the product tend to have more spaces in between and thus allow for greater exposure to air. Because of this, this product ages faster than other products that are subject to the same time period and geographical location. 

Product features

Made of blended and matched tea leaves of Grade 8 comprehensive quality, the product is round and thick in outer form, has thick and twisted tea leaves, a mellow flavor, and a pure aroma reminiscent of fruits.

T1: Tastes mild and slightly astringent, has an obvious aged taste and a slight taste of tartaric acid, gives off slight aromas of flowers.

T2: Balanced taste, mellow; gives off a pure, natural aroma with fragrance of aged leaves.

T3-5: Appears yellowish and transparent, tastes mellow, promotes secretion of saliva, gives off an obvious sweet aroma.

T6-7: Tastes tender and slightly astringent, has a sweet aftertaste.
