The Sweetest of Friends

“Good morning, Piglet.”

“Good morning, Pooh.”

It’s another day in the Hundred-Acre Wood. It’s another day for best friends Pooh and Piglet to be together.

“Pooh, I made some haycorn pie,” says Piglet.

“Mmmm,” says Pooh. “It has some honey on top.”

The two friends sit down and begin to eat the pie.

When Pooh finishes the pie, he says, “I’m going to take a nap,” as he usually does after eating honey.

Piglet answers, “Taking nap is a good idea, but perhaps we could take a walk first?”

Pooh stretches and yawns. “OK, let’s go.”

For Pooh and Piglet, each day is a new adventure.

In the spring, they watch the Hundred-Acre Wood becomes green.

In the summer, they pick beautiful flowers.

In the fall, Pooh and Piglet play in piles of leaves.

In the winter, they make snow angels.

Sometimes, Pooh and Piglet will visit other friends.

They often go to Rabbit’s house for lunch.

They listen to family stories from Owl.

They help Kanga with her housework.

And they fly kites with Robin.

Everyone knows that where there is Pooh, there is Piglet.

One day, when Pooh and Piglet are walking, they see a bee. Without hesitation, Pooh and his tummy follow the bee.

But at the same time, a beautiful butterfly comes. Piglet runs after the butterfly. He wants to take a closer look at the butterfly.

Pooh and Piglet go into different directions, but they don’t realize that.

Through his binoculars, Piglet watches with joy as the butterfly goes from flower to flower. He looks closely at the wings.

“Do you want to look at the butterfly, Pooh?” Piglet asks. He thinks Pooh is just behind him, as usual. “The butterfly is so beautiful!”

But no one replies. Piglet turns around, “Oh, Pooh is not here.” Piglet looks for Pooh under the tree, but there is no bear napping there. In fact, there is no bear there at all!

“Oh, d-dear!” says Piglet. “Where are you, Pooh?”

Piglet has to find his friend. He runs to different places, although he’s not sure where to find his friend.

At this time, Pooh has lost interest in following bees, and he realizes that Piglet is gone.

Pooh cannot find his friend Piglet, nor some honey. Pooh decides to find Piglet first, and then find honey.

Eventually, Pooh and Piglet come across each other on a path.

“There you are, Pooh!” cries Piglet. “But, where have you been?”

“I’m so excited to see you again, Piglet,” Pooh says. “To be honest, I’m not sure where I have been.”

“I will make sure to say good-bye to you next time,” says Piglet, smiling.

“Yes! I will say good-bye to you before we part,” Pooh says.

“No matter we are together or apart, we’re still best friends!” says Piglet.

“Yes, that’s true.” Pooh agrees.

“What would you like to do tomorrow?” asks Piglet.

“Perhaps we can eat breakfast together?” says Pooh.

“Oh, that’s a good idea,” says Piglet. “And then we can take a walk together.”

“Wonderful!” Pooh cries, and jumps up.
