（三）一个人旅行感到孤独怎么办？《lonely and alone》中英字幕

My family and friends have shown great concern about me staying here on the ranch throughout the winter. 

我的家人和朋友都对我留在这个西部牧场过冬的打算有点担忧。

I’m only going to be here with the owner, just one other person, and there’s nobody else around. 

整个冬天将只有房东和我呆在这片区，没有其他人

There are no stores…there’s nothing where I am. It’s absolute empty land. And so everybody’s afraid I’m gonna be so lonely, being here for the entire winter.

附近没商店，鸟儿都没有，就是一大片空原，所以每个人都觉得我在这儿过冬肯定会非常孤独

I’m Lao Zhang and this is the story of Lonely and Alone. I’ve been traveling and living around the world for the past twenty years. 

这里是老张，今天讲讲孤独和孤单的故事。我已经在世界各处旅行和旅居二十多年

Everywhere from Spain to Serbia to India and then many years in China. And during this time, I’ve been on my own most of the time.

从西班牙到塞尔维亚，印度以及到中国多年，基本上我都是一个人走。

  Even if I’m in another country with other people, usually I’m in places where I can’t speak the local language or, I’m just not part of their lives because they live there and I’m just a visitor. 

在其他国家和当地伙伴一起的时候，因为我不会讲当地语言，也没定居在当地，所以我很多时候更像是个过客。

Even if I’m visiting for a year, I’m always just a visitor. And so people ask me often over the years, “Aren’t you lonely?” And I have to say, that I’m not and I’ve never been.

哪怕我可能会停留长达一年，也是个过客，因此人们经常问我：“你不会感到孤独吗？”事实是，我从未有也将不会有这种感觉。

There’s a big difference between being alone and feeling lonely. Being alone is a thing…you are on your own

孤独和孤单是有很大的区别的，孤单不过是你一个人呆着的状态

. Maybe there’s nobody else around you. 

没有人在身边

But lonely is a feeling, it’s like an emotion. If you feel lonely, you feel sad and you feel this pain in your heart that you aren’t fulfilled. 

但是孤独是一种感觉，情绪，孤独是一种你感到悲伤以及心里面总有种没被填满的感觉

There’s something in there missing, and you don’t know how to fill it. So I’ve had this great luck or ability to be alone but not feel lonely.

这种匮乏的感觉，你不知道如何填满。我呢，很幸运地拥有孤单却不孤独的能力。

And I think a way of doing that is when you feel fulfilled about who you are. You feel happy about what you’re doing and you feel excited and passionate about being alive. 

当你对自己很满意，对自己所做的事情感到快乐，对活着本身充满了热情和期待时，就能够孤单而不孤独。

Because you can be with a lot of people and still feel lonely inside.

你会发现，即使当你身边围着一帮人却仍然感到孤独，

 So, to combat loneliness is to find a way to fulfill yourself and to feel good about yourself. 

这说明，战胜孤独需要你找到接纳自己，满足自己，喜欢自己的方式。

And during these years with all of the exciting things I’ve done and the new challenges and the new people and the new cultures, there’s no way I could be lonely. 

外面的这些年里，经历太多新挑战，认识太多新朋友和新文化等非常兴奋的事，我根本没空去孤独。

I have too many great things and too much excitement in my life and new challenges and things to conquer for me to feel lonely.

这么多好玩儿新鲜，不同的世界和挑战填满你的生活里

，我已经不知孤独为何物。

And even now, after all of these years, with everyone being so concerned, I have to tell them, that I might be isolated being here on the ranch, but I’m not lonely.

但是即使现在，过了这么些年，人们依旧对我有这个担忧，我还得继续解释：我也许在牧场与世隔绝，但是我不孤独

 I don’t feel solitude…like this deserted sense that people have left me. 

我不感到孤冷，不感到被人遗弃般的孤独。

In fact, it’s the other way around…I’ve left them. I’ve come here to feel whole and to be by myself. And to do the things I wanna do. 

应该说，事实上是我自己主动离开了人群，我到这个地方就是让自己感受完满的自己，做自己要做的事。

So for me right now, instead of worrying about being lonely, I’m worried about being warm. It’s gonna be super cold here in Wyoming and I’m trying to learn how to make fires all the time, so I don’t have time to be lonely

而且现在对我来说，要紧的是保暖而不是担心孤独，怀俄明的冬天不是一般的冷，我要抓紧每分每秒学习怎么生火取暖，根本没时间空给孤独。

. I have time to feel excited about who I am and this new challenge in my life and how this winter is gonna go. 

我的时间都是用在对自己的喜爱和生活中的新挑战，期待第一个怀俄明州的冬天会成什么样子。

So I hope you, also, can feel fulfilled in yourself and not have that loneliness, even if you’re on your own and you’re alone…to keep feeling good.

所以我希望你，也能够接纳喜爱自己，哪怕一个人呆着也不被孤独侵袭，依旧感到自我的欢欣
