北京通报一例核酸阳性｜Beijing reports first COVID case in over two months

Beijing strengthened epidemic control and prevention measures on Tuesday as one new locally transmitted COVID-19 case was reported following more than two months of zero local cases recorded in the city.

周二，北京在连续两个多月零本土新增病例后，新增1例京外关联输入本地新冠肺炎确诊病例，随后该市加强疫情防控措施。

The patient in the case, found in Fengtai district, was a close contact of a recently confirmed case when they boarded train K42 from Dunhuang, Gansu province, to Beijing.

据悉，该病例出现在丰台区，是最近乘坐甘肃敦煌开往北京的K42列车确诊病例的密切接触者。

The contact arrived in Beijing on Saturday and reported to the local community after learning the confirmed case on Monday.

该密接者于周六抵达北京，并在周一得知确诊病例后向当地社区报告。

"The patient was sent to a hospital, and the local authority has closed the related areas and started epidemiological investigation," said Zhang Jie, deputy head of Fengtai district, at a news conference.

北京市丰台区人民政府副区长张婕在新闻发布会上表示：“确诊病例已被送往定点医院隔离治疗，丰台区已关闭相关区域，并开展流行病学调查。”

The authority has so far identified nine close contacts of the new case. Six of them had taken nucleic acid tests, all with negative results. The information on the other three has been delivered to Hebei province, according to Zhang.

截至目前，丰台区初步排查密切接触者9人，其中丰台区已管控6人，核酸检测结果均为阴性，其余3人已将信息横转至河北省。

The residential communities involved have been put under lockdown. A school involving one close contact stopped on-campus classes and started online teaching. Seven teachers and 92 students were sent to a designated location for centralized quarantine.

确诊病例所在社区已被封闭。其中一名密接人员所在学校自即日起停课一周，目前已排查与密接人员直接接触的教师7人、学生92人，正陆续转运至集中隔离观察点。

Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at the news conference that no people in Fengtai should leave Beijing unless it's absolutely necessary. Those who must leave the city will need to show a negative test result within the previous 48 hours and a green health code, according to Pang.

北京市疾控中心副主任庞星火在新闻发布会上表示，确诊病例所在区人员非必要不出京。如需出京，须持健康宝绿码和48小时内核酸检测阴性证明。

"Recently, several provinces and autonomous regions have reported cases, which has shown a long transmission chain," she said. "The public should continue to wear masks and strictly follow control and prevention measures to avoid risks."

她说：“最近多地通报了病例，传播链长。” “公众应继续佩戴口罩，严格遵守防疫措施，规避风险。”

Before the new case, Beijing had not seen any new locally transmitted cases since Aug 11.

在新病例出现之前，北京自8月11日以来没有发现任何本地新增病例。

The Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported seven locally transmitted, confirmed COVID-19 cases from 7 am Monday to 10 am Tuesday, local health authorities said.

内蒙古卫健委通报，2021年10月18日7时至10月19日10时，内蒙古自治区新增本土确诊病例7例。

Five cases were reported in Ejine Banner in Alxa League, and two were reported in the city of Ereenhot in Xiliin Gol League, the regional health commission said in a statement.

当地卫生部门在一则通报中称，其中5例来自阿拉善盟额济纳旗，2例来自二连浩特市。

The five people work at a restaurant in Ejine and are close contacts of people confirmed to be infected in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

5人在额济纳旗一家餐厅工作，均为陕西西安确诊病例的密切接触者。

A tour group of eight people traveled in Ejine from Oct 11 to 14, involving three scenic areas, one homestay hotel, four restaurants and one nucleic acid testing site for novel coronavirus.

10月11日至14日，8人旅游团在额济纳旅游，涉及3个景区、1家民宿、4家餐厅和1个核酸检测点。

Two of the eight were confirmed as being infected in Xi'an on Sunday, while four others were confirmed on Monday, and one was an asymptomatic carrier.

这8人中有两人于周日在西安被确诊，另外4人在周一被确诊，其中1人为无症状感染者。

Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, also reported one case on Monday. The patient had joined the seven others traveling Gansu province and later in Inner Mongolia before returning to Yinchuan on Saturday.

宁夏回族自治区首府银川周一也报告了1例病例。在周六返回银川之前，该患者曾与其他7人一起在甘肃旅行，后来又前往内蒙古。

Beijing's new case was a close contact of the patient in Ningxia.

北京新增病例为宁夏确诊人员的密切接触者。
