In a faraway land, long ago, a king and his fair queen longed for a child. Finally their wish was granted, and they named their daughter "Aurora" after the dawn, for she filled their lives with sunshine.
Then, a great holiday was proclaimed throughout the kingdom. Everyone was invited to the castle to celebrate the arrival of the infant princess.
King Stefan and his queen welcomed jolly King Hubert and his son Phillip and escorted them to meet the princess. The two kings wished to unite their kingdoms. They decided that one day Phillip and Aurora would marry.
Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the three good fairies, arrived next to bestow their gifts upon Princess Aurora.
