That's tree-son! A sapling that French President Macron gifted US counterpart Donald Trump during his state visit disappears from the White House South Lawn just five days after they planted it together. 

树苗神秘事件！法国总统马克龙访美时曾赠送给美国总统特朗普一棵树苗，他们还一同将其栽植于白宫南草坪，但仅仅过了5天，这棵树苗却神秘消失了。

The Oak sapling came from a WWI battlefield where 9,000 US Marines perished and Macron tweeted "this oak tree will be a reminder at the White House of the ties that bind us". The presidents and their wives were pictured planting the tree Monday evening. 

这株橡树苗来自一处二战战场，9000名美国士兵在那儿丧生。马克龙曾发布推文："这株橡树苗将在白宫时刻提醒法美两国关系背后的精髓。"两国总统和他们的夫人于23日晚间共同栽植这棵树并拍照留念。

But now the tree is gone. Reuters, on Saturday posted a picture of a patch of uneven, yellowed grass where the planting photo was taken. The White House has not commented on where the tree is now. 

但现在这棵树"不翼而飞"了。路透社28日发布的照片显示，植树的位置变成一片不平整的黄色草地。白宫目前还没有对橡树苗事件作出解释。

Kate and William's decision to call their newborn son Louis has sent social media into a frenzy with many fascinated they chose a name most popular in France. The fifth in line to the British throne shares the same moniker as 18 kings from across the Channel.

威廉与凯特为新出生的小王子取名路易后，立刻在社交媒体上引发热议，许多网友对小王子取了个"法国流行名"表示惊讶。作为英国王室第五顺位继承人的路易王子，与法国历史上的18位君主同名。

Twitter offered its typical kaleidoscope of views but many focused on the Gallic roots of the name Louis, which means "renowned warrior", and linked it to Britain's ongoing divorce from the EU. Reactions included: "That means Will and Kate are Remainers" and "I guess after Brexit it will become Lewis."   

推特上网友的意见五花八门，但许多人注意到路易这个名字起源于法国，意为"声名显赫的战士"，并将其与英国目前的脱欧进程进行联系。有人认为，选择这个名字，意味着威廉和凯特是留欧派，也有人说，英国彻底脱欧后，或许"路易"就得改成英国式的"刘易斯"了。

Museum uncovers fake art

More than half the paintings owned by a southern French museum are worthless fakes, and authorities fear more forgeries may be on display at other public galleries. The small museum in Elne, dedicated to local artist Etienne Terrus, a contemporary of Henri Matisse.

法国南部一家博物院里的超过半数的画作并非真迹，有关部门担心更多赝品正在其他的公共美术馆展出。这家位于埃尔恩的小型博物院专门展出当地艺术家艾迪恩•泰吕的作品。泰吕是和亨利•马蒂斯同期的画家。

Learned that 82 of its 140 works are fakes after art historian Eric Forcadea raised the alarm. Forcadea noticed while helping to prepare an exhibit that some of the paintings attributed to the Terrus featured buildings built after his 1922 death.

Supermarket shoppers in the western German city of Aachen have stepped out of their comfort zone to sample insect burgers made from mealworms. The mealworms, highly nutritious thanks to their high protein content, are the larvae of buffalo or mealworm beetles and are bred in the Netherlands. 

近日，德国西部城市亚琛的超市购物者纷纷打破常规，试吃黄粉虫制成的虫肉汉堡。这种蛋白质含量极高的黄粉虫很有营养，是在荷兰培育繁殖的水牛甲虫的幼虫。

Served in rolls with lettuce, onions and tomatoes, they are being offered to customers of the Rewe supermarket chain after proving successful in the Netherlands and Belgium. 

这种虫子和生菜、洋葱、西红柿一起被夹在面包中，面向雷弗连锁超市的顾客推出。此前，这种虫肉汉堡已在荷兰和比利时取得了成功。

One passerby who tried the burger, Manfred Roedder, said it was a good alternative to meat, adding: "I had reservations at first, but I got a second serving because it tasted so good."

试吃过虫肉汉堡的路人曼弗雷德•罗德表示，这是普通肉类的一种很好的替代品。他还称："我一开始也有疑虑，但后来因为它太美味了，又要了第二份。"
