明年6月全面建立林长制

China has issued a guideline to implement a "forest chief" plan nationwide amid the country's continuous efforts to protect forests and grasslands. It was issued by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council and urged that the "forest chief" plan be rolled out nationwide by June 2022. "General forest chiefs" should be appointed in all provincial-level regions, the guideline said. It clarified all levels of a forest chief’s responsibilities in protecting forest and grassland resources.
中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅近日印发《关于全面推行林长制的意见》，加强对森林和草原的保护。意见提出，2022年6月在全国全面建立林长制，各省(自治区、直辖市)设立总林长、副总林长。意见明确了各级林长在森林草原资源保护发展工作中的责任。

China's civil aviation sector handled 420 million passenger trips in 2020, which accounted for 63.3 percent of that in 2019, indicating recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic fallout, according to the country's civil aviation regulator. Domestic air travel reached 94.5 percent of its 2019 level in the fourth quarter, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said Tuesday. 
民航局1月12日表示，2020年全年完成旅客运输量4.2亿人次，是2019年的63.3%。去年第四季度国内旅客运输量已恢复至94.5%，显示出我国民航市场正从新冠肺炎疫情带来的冲击中复苏。

China's civil aviation sector remained the world's second-largest in terms of passenger trips for the 15th consecutive year, the CAAC added. The nation will step up measures to ensure efficient flight schedules for domestic and international airlines, upgrade China-US and China-Europe civil aviation cooperation and gradually loosen air travel policies in the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.
民航局表示，中国民航旅客运输量连续15年居世界第二。2021年，民航将加强举措，确保中外航空公司航班时刻分配高效规范；推动中美、中欧民航合作平台转型升级；逐步放开港澳地区航线航班政策。

This is "the oldest evidence of the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in a human being", the report said.

Infections are surging around the world, with more than 90.9 million confirmed cases and 1.94 million deaths by Tuesday, according to Johns Hopkins University.
