2018 FIFA World Cup is currently ongoing inRussia starting from 14 June and will end with the final match on 15 July 2018.Compared with the past World Cups, there are something new, which you don'twant to miss:

1. Thebiggest feature of the Russia world cup is the introducing of the VideoAssistant Referee.

2. Ifa match goes to extra time, each team will be allowed to make a fourthsubstitution, the first time this has been allowed at a world cup.

After 14 days competition, 48 games, the hostsRussia are through the last 16, along with the former world cup winners Brazil,Argentina, France, and Spain. However, defending champions Germany were amongthe 16 teams who did not qualify from the group stage. Impressively, there havebeen 24 penalties awarded during the group stage with the help of VAR, which isa record for this entire tournament. Basically, the VAR has helped referees tomake the right decisions in most cases, but it won’t eliminate allcontroversies.
