2019 Japan Open (Badminton) finished up on the 28th July. China’s Wang Yi Lyu and Huang Dong Ping won their fourth title this year – their biggest World Tour title this season – powering past Indonesia’s Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti, for their sixth straight win over the Indonesians. This is the only title from the Japan Open for the Chinese team.
The FIFA Council has unanimously agreed to a proposal to expand the number of teams taking part in the FIFA Women’s World Cup from 24 to 32, with effect as of the next edition of the tournament in 2023.
The USA Men’s National Team World Cup training camp is set to open Monday, Aug. 5 in Las Vegas. Today, USA Basketball announced the addition of Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo to the USA Men’s National Team and to the roster of players expected to participate in the World Cup training camp.

The 7th CISM World Summer Games 2019 will be held in Wuhan China on October 18th. The holy flame-lighting and torch relay ceremony were launched in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province on the morning of August 1. Considered as an important part of the promotional activity of the 7th CISM World Summer Games, the torch relay will be mainly carried out in military camps and in Wuhan, the host city.
