Follow the Call 天命难违

After university I had a few careers such as being a dentist, a businessman and an owner of a private school. Based on my current situation of living, I would say those careers were modestly successful. I fell in love with English, and ever since then my love hasn’t changed. I have read so many English classics I cannot help but entertain a feeling that I’m probably better-read than many native speakers. As if predestined, I finally started writing Follow the Call the following day after my arrival at Waiheke Island in New Zealand. Follow the Call is a novel of history, kung fu, and legend, and in the book there are many novelties that have never appeared in any other books in the world. Throughout the whole process of writing, I’ve never taken my eyes off the goal, that is I will write a series of Follow the Call which will be thought by the reader as good as any top works of the world. I have dreamed that the books will go down history and make me a name there. The Chinese version of the book is translated by Nina and myself and its quality should be the same as the original one.

大学毕业后，我做过几份工作。当过牙医，做过生意人，还有幸教了几年的书。从我目前的生活状况来看，这几个工作我都干得还不错。我爱上了英语，而且是一发不可收拾；这激情还在燃烧，不减当年。我读过很多英文的古典名著，原文读的，有的还读了许多遍；字字理解，从不马虎。有时我忍不住会想我的英语可能比很多母语是英文的老外都好吧。当然，这就是个臆念，不必当真。似乎是天意，我在到达新西兰Waiheke岛后的第二天，便最终迫于自己牛逼的压力开始动笔。洋洋洒洒，乱写一气，梦想一年之后便可赴美洽谈出版事宜；结果写出的东西却距自己的理想太远。最后我不得不删除了写好的几十万字，然后重新开始。

《 天命难违》是一部集历史、武侠和传奇于一身的现代小说，厚重、惊奇、诙谐、壮阔；其中的很多意境都是任何中外小说没有的。在整个写作过程中，我始终秉承我的梦想，那就是把《天命难违》写成一部世界级的小说。我对大自然怀有无限的敬畏，是它一步一步地在孕育着一切，让我有梦可寻，让我有命难违。

小说的中文版是Nina和我共同翻译的，应该也是非常值得一读的。
