会打字的奶牛（下）

Farmer Brown got out his own typewriter.

农场主不乐翁拿出了他自己的打字机

“Dear Cows and Hens:

亲爱的奶牛和母鸡

There will be no electric blankets.

我不会给你们送电热毯

You are cows and hens.

你们是奶牛和母鸡

I demand milk and eggs.

我要牛奶和鸡蛋

Duck was a neutral party,

鸭子是一个中立派

so he brought the ultimatum to the cows.

所以他带着这封最后通牒去见奶牛

The cows held an emergency meeting.

奶牛们开了一个紧急会议

All the animals gathered around the barn to snoop,

所有动物都围着谷仓探头探脑

but none of them could understand Moo.

但是没有谁能听懂哞哞叫

All night long, Farmer Brown waited for an answer.

整个晚上，农场主不乐翁都在等着回复

Duck knocked on the door early the next morning.

第二天，鸭子早早地来敲门

He handed Farmer Brown a note:

他递给不乐翁一张字条

“Dear Farmer Brown,

亲爱的农场主不乐翁

We will exchange our typewriter for electric blankets.

我们愿意用打字机交换电热毯

Leave them outside the barn door

把它们放在谷仓门外

and we will send Duck over with the typewriter.

我们会让鸭子带走打字机

Farmer Brown decided this was a good deal.

不乐翁觉得这是个好交易

He left the blankets next to the barn door

他把电热毯放在谷仓门外

and waited for Duck to come with the typewriter.

然后等着鸭子带回打字机

The next morning he got a note:

第二天早上他收到了一张字条

“Dear Farmer Brown,

亲爱的农场主不乐翁

The pond is quite boring.

池塘里面可真无聊

We’d like a diving board.

我们想要一块跳水板
