兔子的惊喜生日（下）

Owl thought very hard.

猫头鹰使劲地思考着

“What is a real birthday?”

“怎么才算是真正的生日呢”

And then his best thoughts came.

然后他想到了最好的主意

He thought...birthday card.

他想到了......生日贺卡

He thought...birthday present.

他想到了......生日礼物

And then his thoughts came faster and faster.

之后他的主意越想越快

Birthday party!

生日聚会

Birthday games!

生日游戏

Birthday cake!

生日蛋糕

Then he had an even better thought.

最后他想到了一个更酷的主意

Birthday cabbage!

生日卷心菜

Rabbit loved cabbage,

兔子喜欢卷心菜

and they could have the party in the garden with the big cabbage.

而且他们可以在长着大颗卷心菜的菜园举办聚会

Owl flew to his hole as fast as he could.

猫头鹰用最快的速度飞回洞里

He wrote birthday invitations as fast as he could.

他用最快的速度写了生日邀请帖

Then he gave out the invitations as fast as he could.

然后又用最快的速度发完了这些邀请帖

Then Owl flew down to the garden with the big cabbage.

最后猫头鹰飞去了长着大颗卷心菜的菜园

The stars lit up the cabbage patch.

星星照亮了卷心菜地

“What a lovely place for a party,” said Owl.

“多么好的一个聚会的地方啊”猫头鹰说

The Owl flew to Rabbit’s burrow.

猫头鹰飞到了兔子的洞

“Rabbit!” he cried, “Come out!”

“兔子”他喊着“出来！”

Rabbit came out.

兔子出来了

He looked startled.

他看起来吓了一跳

“Follow me, quickly!” cried Owl.

“快跟我来”猫头鹰喊

So they raced off into the moonlit night.

于是他们就匆匆走进了月光照耀的夜里

Fox, Badger, Squirrel and Bat were in the garden.

狐狸、獾、松鼠和蝙蝠都在菜园里

“Happy Birthday!”

“生日快乐”

“Happy Birthday, Rabbit!”

“兔子生日快乐”

“Eight today!”

“今天八岁了”

They all had birthday presents for Rabbit.

他们都给兔子送了生日礼物

Bat even gave him a flying display!

蝙蝠还给他表演了飞行秀

Bat flew upside down in the light of the moon.

蝙蝠在月光中倒立着飞来飞去

“Wonderful!” thought Owl.

“真精彩”猫头鹰心想

“Thank you! Thank you!” said Rabbit.

“谢谢你们！谢谢你们”兔子说

“What next?” he asked.

“接下来是什么”他问

“Birthday party games?” asked Owl.

“生日聚会游戏？”猫头鹰询问着

So they played Hopscotch and Pass the Carrot.

于是他们玩了跳格子和击鼓传胡萝卜的游戏

“Thank you! Thank you!” said Rabbit.

“谢谢你们！谢谢你们”兔子说

“What next?” he asked.

“接下来是什么”他问

“Birthday cake?” asked Badger.

“生日蛋糕？”獾问道

“Birthday cabbage!” said Owl.

“生日卷心菜”猫头鹰说

He lit the candle and everybody sang...

他点了蜡烛然后每个人都唱起来......

“Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, dear Rabbit! Happy Birthday to you!”

“祝你生日快乐！祝你生日快乐！祝亲爱的兔子生日快乐！祝你生日快乐！”

Then Rabbit blew out the candle.

然后兔子吹灭了蜡烛

“You must make a birthday wish,” said Owl.

“你必须许个生日愿望”猫头鹰说

“What could I wish for?” asked Rabbit.

“那我该许什么愿呢”兔子问

He gave lots of little jumps and one big one.

他轻轻跳了好几下然后又使劲跳了一下

“You could wish for a slice of birthday cabbage,” said Owl.

“嗯，你可以许愿得到一片生日卷心菜呀”猫头鹰说

Later, Owl and Rabbit talked all night.

之后，猫头鹰和兔子又彻夜聊了起来

“Well, Rabbit,” said Owl.

“好了，兔子”猫头鹰说

“Was it a real birthday?”

“这算是一个真正的生日吗”

“Oh yes,” said Rabbit.

“哦是的”兔子说

“It was a very real birthday.

这是一个真真正正的生日

Thank you so much, Owl.”

真的太感谢你了猫头鹰
