Favorable situations are like water irrigating our mind; Unfavorable

Favorable situations are like water irrigating our mind; Unfavorable situations are like fire burning off our afflictions.
Xian'er says so: Shifu help us continuously grow.
Xian’er asked Shifu:
Shifu, why is it that you are sometimes super nice to me, making me feel like I am being embraced by a spring breeze.

While other times you are so cruel, making me feel like I am being frozen by ice.
Sometimes you praised me on my progress, while other times you seem so critical of me.

Sometimes you flatter me, while other times belittle me, disfavoring me there.

On one hand praising me and on the other hand hurting me with your words.
Shifu, why do you do that?
After asking this question, Xian’er said to himself:
It is OK. I am just wondering. I know you are not going to answer me.

Actually, I do understand. It is just that I have to get it off my chest.

All situations in life are meant to help us to grow.
Favorable situations are like water irrigating our mind;
Unfavorable situations are like fire burning off our afflictions.
It is the mix of favorable and
unfavorable situations that transform ore that is full of impurities into pure gold.

顺境如水，滋润内心；逆境如火，煅烧烦恼
贤二如是说：师父让我不断成长
贤二问师父，师父，
为什么您一会对我特别好，让我感觉如沐春风；
一会又对我特别狠，让我感觉冷若冰霜；
一会夸我有进步，一会又苛责我；
一会抬举我，一会贬低我；
一会高度评价赞美我，一会又挖苦讥讽我。
师父，这是为什么呢？
贤二问完，又说，
算了，我就是问一问而已，
知道您也没空搭理我。
我自己都明白，
就是心里比较憋屈的慌。

人生的一切境界都是为了让我们成长。
顺境如水，滋润内心；
逆境如火，煅烧烦恼。
水火相济，
人生才能由充满杂质的矿石变为纯净的金子。
