When Mr. Finchretired, he bought a small cottage in a seaside village. The cottage was builtin the late sixteenth century, but it was in very good condition. The design of Mr. Finch’s cottage wasattractive and many of the tourists came to see it. From morning till nightthere were tourists outside the cottage. Thenotice said, “If you want to satisfy your curiosity, come in and look around.The price is 5 pounds.”Mr. Finch was sure that the visitors would stop coming,but he was wrong. The number of visitors increased and Mr. Finch spent a lottime showing them around his cottage. “I came here not to work as a guide,” hesaid to himself unhappily. In the end, he sold the cottage and bought a smallmodern house. It was an uninteresting little place and no one wanted to see it.But it was certainly quiet.
