Languages speak our mind.
【Xian'er says so: Languages speak our mind】
Wang Xiaowu said to Xian’er: Actually,
I admire you monks, especially your Shifu.
He speaks so well, always appropriate.

It seems that what he says are normal words but they always get to the point.

It never hurts anyone’s feeling, and it inspires and educates.
Also Xianyi, Xiansan, Xiansi, Xianwu, Xianbai, Xianqian.
No matter what situation they are in, they always speak appropriately.
What to say, and what not to say. They have got it under control.
I’m curious as why you are not like them, provided you all follow the same Master.
Why is it that you are so much behind?
This drives Xian’er crazy.

Below are quoted from my Shifu’s new book, Say Good Things—Master Xuecheng’s insight on the path to speaking like a Buddha. 
When the mind is serene, there is more wisdom to identify the root cause of a problem.

Therefore, one is capable of speaking
to the point.
When the mind is agitated, it is as if a candle dwindling in the wind.

With that, reflections of objects are out of focus, and no decisive judgments are made. 

Therefore, one tends to talk a lot of nonsense.

语言就是我们的心
|贤二如是说：语言就是我们的心
王小五跟贤二说，其实，
我还是很佩服你们出家人的，
尤其是你师父，讲话特别得体，
好像都是平常话，但都能说到重点，
还不伤人，让人特别受启发，受教育。
还有贤一，贤三，贤四，贤五，贤百、贤千，
大小场合，说话都很有分寸。
该说的说，不该说的不说，
真的是好有水平。
我就奇怪了，
为什么都是一个师父教出来的，
你怎么就不行呢，
怎么就这么大差距呢？
把贤二给气坏了。

内心宁静，人就更有智慧，
能直接找到问题的症结所在，
常能一语中的；
心绪动荡，如同风中的蜡烛，
照出的景物恍惚不清，
自然决断起来犹犹豫豫，
说起话来更是语无伦次、喋喋不休。
