元音字母的短音

5个元音字母：a、e、i、o、u。

注意：在一个单词或是一个音节中，只有一个元音字母，并且以辅音字母结尾，这个元音字母就读短音。

In the second picture, the girl is smelling the flower. In the word smell, sm says /sm/, short e says /e/, ll says /l/, sm-e-ll, smell. We smell with our nose, we hear with our ears, we eat with our mouth, and we see with our eyes.

In the third picture, you can see a glass of milk. In the word milk, m says /m/, short i says /i/, lk says /lk/, m-i-lk, milk. In the morning we drink milk and eat bread.

In the next picture, you can see a fox. f-o-x, fox.

In the last picture, the girl is brushing her teeth. In the word brush, br says /br/, short u says //, sh says /ʃ/, br-u-sh, brush.

字母C的读音

字母C：有两种读音，一种是/K/，一种是/S/。

In the first picture, you can see a fat cat. c-a-t, cat.

在cat这个单词中，字母c出现在元音字母a的前面，读/k/.

In the second picture, you can see a coat. c-oa-t, coat. In winter, it's very cold, so we need to wear a coat.

在coat这个单词中，字母c出现在元音字母o的前面，读/k/.

In the third picture, you can see a white cup. In the word cup, c says /k/, short u says /ʌ/, p says /p/. c-u-p, cup.

在cup这个单词中，字母c出现在元音字母u的前面，读/k/.

In the next picture, you can see one cent. c says /s/, short e says /e/, nt says /nt/, c-e-nt, cent.

在cent这个单词中，字母c出现在元音字母e的前面，读/s/.

In the last picture, you can see a bicycle. 

在bicycle这个单词中，有两个字母c。第一个字母c出现在半元音y的前面，读/s/, 第二个字母c出现在辅音字母l的前面读/k/。

字母c的读音规则：

字母c在e、i、y前面读/s/，在a、o、u和辅音字母的前面读/k/。
