Buffalo
Ping: So honey, when the road is icy, when you drive, what should we do?
Bob: Well, if you put on your brakes and your car starts to slide, youpump your brakes, which means you take your foot on the brake peddle and you put it on and off, on and off, on and off. You don’just put your foot on the brake and slam it down, or the car will continue to slide. So it’s called pumping your brakes, where you put your foot on and off the brake peddle over and over again.
Ping: So this can prevent your car from sliding, right?
Bob: Somewhat, yes. Your car is still gonna slide, but it’s not going to lock your brakes, and it’s better to pump the brakes.
Pump your brakes when the road is icy.
Pump
