A fox saw the crow and its food and tried to approach her. "Oh, dear crow," said the fox, "How beautiful your wings are! How bright your eyes are! How graceful your neck is! Your breast is as strong as an eagle. Your claws are sharp enough to beat every beast. But, how pity you are! You are such a dumb bird. How lucky it would be, if you were able to talk."
The crow was so pleased to hear the praise. And she wanted to let the fox know that she can talk. Hence, she couldn't help waiting to open her mouth and sing. Just then, the large piece of cheese fell off the ground. And the fox quickly carried it off.
