Love is difficult.后来你们在一起吗

It is good to love, but love is difficult. For one human being to love another human being:that is perhaps the most difficult task has been  entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof,thework for which all other work is merely preparation.

爱是美好的，也是艰难的。因为我们要去爱别人，这也许是赋予我们的最艰难、最首要的职责，是最后的测试和考验，是最崇高的工作，其他工作都是为此而做的准备。

That is why young people, who are beginners in everything, are not yet capable of love: it is something they must learn. With their whole being, with all their forces, gathered around their solitary, anxious, upwardbeating heart, they must learn to love.

所以刚刚起步的年轻人还不具备爱的能力，必须要去学习。他们要用全部的生命，所有的力量，以及集聚孤寂、痛苦和荣誉感的心去学习爱。

But learning time is always a long, secluded time ahead and far on into life, is solitude, a heightened and deepened kind of aloneness for the person who loves.

在这个长久而专注的学习过程中，爱会永远地镌刻在生命中，为了爱，在深深的寂寞中孤独地等待。

Loving does not at first mean merging surrendering or uniting with another person;it is a high inducement for the individual to ripen,to become something in himself, to become world, to become world in himself for the sake of another person; it is a great,demanding claim on him, something that chooses him and calls him to vast distances.

爱并不是什么倾心、献身或两人的结合;爱是一种崇高的动力，促使人走向成熟，完善自己，成就世界，并且为了另个人成就自己的世界；爱是一个伟大而艰巨的要求，既然选择就要迈向远方。

Only in this sense, as the task of working on themselves,may young people use the love that  is given to them.Merging and surrendering and every kind of communion is not for them,it is the ultimate,is perhaps that for which human lives as  yet barely large enough.

只有从这个意义而言,即年轻人把爱当成自己的工作，他们才会好好使用赐予的爱。
