It's noon. Laura is getting ready to go eat. She wants dumplings. Before she can leave, a man comes in.
"Laura," says the man. "you must come right away."
"I know you," says Laura. "You're Chris. You own Chris Dumplings, the food cart."
"That's right," says Laura.
"You can't today," says Chris.
"Why not?" asks Laura.
"Someone damaged my food cart last night," says Chris. "If you ever want to eat my dumplings again, you must help me."
"What wrong with your food cart?" asks Laura.
"Someone threw paint all over my food cart." says Chris.
"Oh, no," says Laura. "That's awful."
"They also left a note," says Chris. "It said, Stop selling dumplings or there will be more trouble.'"
"Someone is threatening you," says Laura. "Let's go take a look."
As they walk, Chris tells Laura about the dumplings business. There are three dumplings businesses in town. They all sell dumplings, but Chris' are the best. Everyone says so.
"What am I going to do?" asks Chris. "If I stop selling dumplings, how can I feed my family?"
"Don't worry." says Laura. "We will solve this. Maybe another Dumpling business envies your success."
"Maybe," says Chris. "Let's go talk to Nelson. He owns Nelson's Dumplings."
