Today I would like to talk about the current coronavirus pandemic in America.
As anAmerica citizen, I am deeply distressed because the total number of confirmedcoronavirus cases have already climbed above 400,000. What’s worse, the most prosperous city, New York, has become the worst-hit region inour country.
Fortunately, our country has arranged a seriesof solutions to cope with the novel coronavirus. Bars, restaurants, gyms andschools, a majority of public places, have been ordered to close down. President Trump also signed a stimulus package tocurb the economic impact of COVID-19. On theother hand, the public has been urged to wearmasks by the federal government to preventthe spread of the virus.
However, we are still facing some major difficulties. Doctors and nurses are badly demanded, as the number of whichis 3 quarters less than that of the infected people. Besides, we are extremely short of medical supplies,such as safety goggles, protective clothing and masks.
In fact, we neednot only effective medical treatment plans for the COVID-19 prevention andcontrol, but also more international support of medical supplies and professional medicalaid workers. I hope China can help us. Afterall, China is the first country that has succeeded in the epidemic control. In addition, as is known to all, China is the factory of theworld, if we need medical supplies, China is the best choice.
At last, I think we oughtto learn the national spirit from China as well - Unite as a whole andpull together to overcome difficulties. Only bysticking to each other can we win in this battle.
