25. 【原创】A Pencil and An Eraser 铅笔和橡皮

 A lovely dialogue between a pencil and an eraser:
Pencil: You know, I'm really sorry.
Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry, 'cause you get hurt because of me. Whenever I make a 

mistake, you are always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes 

vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller everytime.

Eraser: That's true, but I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though, 

one of these days, I know I'll be gone and you have to replace me with a 

new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate 

seeing you sad .

Happy to have seen this little story, I guess my life becomes more 

meaningful because of it.

As I think of it, I have been a pencil for my passed years, writing down 

everything I wanted, some of which was not quite right or even was a mess. 

But I've got many erasers behind, correcting my mistakes at cost of 

sacrifying themselves, and always pushing me forward. Thank you, Mum 

and Dad, you've raised me up when I am down. Thank you, my teachers, 

you've taught me the meanings of life, let me be a hopeful tree from a little 

sunflower. Thank you, my friends, you've supported me whenever I am in 

trouble. Thank me myself, too. I have been searching on the road of life and 

grow up totteringly day after day. Even though I am not successful nor rich, I 

am optimistic to be a brave pencil.

Now I am an eraser, gotta feedback my parents, requite my teachers, help 

my friends and continue growing by erasing things supposed to be vanished.

Actually, we each are always both a pencil and an eraser ourselves, 

assisting others and being favoured. That makes life just beautiful and large!
