Amid mounting legal challenges, Donald Trump’s administration defended its controversial 90-day entry ban on citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries, saying only 109 of 325,000 people who arrived in America on Saturday were still detained. Tech-company bosses, and world leaders including the German chancellor, Angela Merkel, have strongly criticized the restrictions, which also indefinitely bar all refugees from Syria.
