P2 “Will you come and help me, Lara?" said Dad.“Look at the car!What a sight!" “你能过来帮忙吗?拉若!”爸爸问，“看那车!真脏啊!”
P3 "Yes, I will. We have to sort it out, Dad!" said Lara. “好，可以。我们要先整理下，爸爸。”拉若说。
P4 There was a lot of junk in the back of the car, so Lara took it all out. 车后座上有很多杂物。拉若把它们都拿了出来。
P5 Little Ted was in the car.So was a doll and lots of rubbish. 车里有个小泰迪熊。还有布娃娃和很多垃圾。
P6 Then Lara got a bucket, and Dad got a brush. They got the mud off the car. 然后拉若拿来一-只桶，爸爸找来一把刷子。他们把车上的泥巴洗掉。
P7 “What a mess!" said Lara.“Look out!I am all wet!" “真脏啊!”拉若说，“小心!我全身都湿了。”
P8 Soon the car was sparkling."Is that it, Dad?" said Lara. 很快，车子闪闪亮了。“就这样了吗，爸爸?”拉若说。
P9 “No, ”said Dad.“There is still lots to do!" “不，”爸爸说，“还有很多事要做!”
P10 “We need some wax on the car," said Dad. He took out a big tin of wax. “我们还需要给车打蜡。”爸爸拿出一大罐蜡。
P11 Lara got some wax on a cloth. 拉若用布蘸上蜡。
P12 “Now we have torub the wax on the car,” said Dad .”I can still see some smears,Dad," said Lara. “现在我们要把蜡擦在车上。”爸爸说，“我看到还有一些污点，爸爸。”拉若说。
P13 “We need to rub harder!" said Dad. “我们要更用劲地擦!”爸爸说。
P14 “Wow, it is hard!" said Lara. They were hot. "Top job, Lara!"said Dad. “哇，好难啊!”拉若说。他们都热了。“干得真好!”爸爸说。
P16 Soon the car was spick and span."Thank you, Lara,” said Dad. “I like helping!" said Lara. 很快，车子擦得崭新闪亮。“谢谢你，拉若。爸爸说。“我喜欢帮忙。”拉若说。
