Dragon vein is an important concept in geomantic omen. According to the correct explanation of Xue Xin Fu, "the dragon is like a dragon, and it has the characteristics of mountains, ups and downs, and changes in many ways. It is similar to a dragon, so it can be understood by the dragon." Therefore, the dragon vein is used to indicate the trend, ups and downs, turns, changes and other phenomena of the mountain range, and thus infer the good or bad geographical location of a certain place, that is, the place where the gas is concentrated is auspicious, and the place where the gas is dissipated is ominous. The original meaning of pulse is blood vessel, which is extended to something as coherent as blood vessel. The body of the dragon is mostly made of snakes, which is characterized by its length. Literally speaking, the dragon vein is the long and continuous blood vessel of the mountain range, and it is the tool for conveying the vitality. Observing the ups and downs of nature's mountains, gas flows from high to low terrain, from high to low pressure, and the place where Qi stops is the place where gas is concentrated. Often, there will be boundary water in the place where Qi stops. The burial letter says, "Qi will disperse when the wind blows, and the boundary water will stop.". The main function of Jieshui is to stop the operation of the dragon vein. When the dragon vein extends to the end, it goes through the changes of rough to fine ups and downs, crossing the gorge, opening accounts, stopping falling and peeling, and binding Qi and swallowing, etc., and then it takes off the pulse and shows off. When it meets the water, it becomes angry and stops, and then it forms acupoints.

The name of the dragon is because of its variety, as if the terrain is complex, and the dragon is a very noble creature. Fengshui believes that nature is as respectable as a dragon. If a building is located on a cave where gas is concentrated, it will be beneficial to the owner of the building; if ore mining or any destructive activities are carried out on the vein above the cave, it will be unfavorable to the place, because the vein conveying gas is destroyed.

As for the appellation of mountains, mountains and rivers are called dry dragons, and small mountains and small waters are called Zhilong; the head of mountains and rivers is called Lailong, and the tail of mountains and rivers is called "dragon to go"; mountains and mountains rise and fall, and "Purple gas is covered, smoke is floating, clouds and mists, and clouds are lingering in four seasons; the skin is not eroded, the color is oily, the vegetation is luxuriant, the flowing spring is sweet, the soil is fragrant and greasy, and the stone is moist and bright", it is called the life dragon, which is the inevitable appearance of the gas knot Elephant. There are also Shen long, Qian Long, Fei long, Teng long, Xiang long, Qun long, Hui Long, GUI long, Wolong, dead dragon, hidden dragon, Gaogang dragon, Pingyang dragon, etc Even on flat land there are dragons, "an inch high is a mountain, an inch low is water.".

Dragon God stele, is the place for the use of chemical gas, such as the switch to control the water supply of water pipe. The Dragon God is commonly known as the patron saint of the dragon vein. A wise earth master will point out his spirit to set up a stele to protect the source of vitality when building a shady house. Later, he will sacrifice in the name of tomb sweeping to hide people's ears and eyes.
