Stray birds of summer come to my window to sing and fly away.
夏天的飞鸟，飞到我的窗前唱歌，又飞去了。

And yellow leaves of autumn, which have no songs, flutter and fall there with a sigh.
秋天的黄叶，它们没有什么可唱，只叹息一声，飞落在那里.

If you shed tears when you miss the sun, you also miss the stars.
如果你因失去了太阳而流泪，那么你也将失去群星了。

Man is a born child, his power is the power of growth.
人是一个初生的孩子，他的力量，就是生长的力量。

The trees come up to my window like the yearning voice of the dumb earth.
绿树长到了我的窗前，仿佛是喑哑的大地发出的渴望的声音。

You smiled and talked to me of nothing and I felt that for this I had been waiting long.

The fish in the water is silent, the animal on the earth is noisy, the bird in the air is singing. But Man has in him the silence of the sea, the noise of the earth and the music of the air.

The world rushes on over the strings of the lingering heart making the music of sadness.
世界在踌躇之心的琴弦上跑过去，奏出忧郁的乐声。

We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility.
当我们是最为谦卑的时候，便是我们最接近伟大的时候。

The mist, like love, plays upon the heart of the hills and brings out surprises of beauty.
雾，像爱情一样，在山峰的心上游戏，生出种种美丽的变幻。

Your voice, my friend, wanders in my heart, like the muffled sound of the sea among these listening pines
我的朋友，你的语声飘荡在我的心里，像那海水的低吟声缭绕在静听着的松林之间。

What is this unseen flame of darkness whose sparks are the stars?
这个不可见的黑暗之火焰，以繁星为其火花的，到底是什么呢？　

Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves.
生如夏花之绚烂，死如秋叶之静美。

The touch of the nameless days clings to my heart like mosses round the old tree.
无名日子的感触，攀缘在我的心上，正像那绿色的苔藓，攀缘在老树的周身。

Ah, these jasmines, these white jasmines!

I seem to remember the first day when I filled my hands with these jasmines, these white jasmines.
我仿佛记得当我第一次双手满捧着这些茉莉花, 这洁白的茉莉花的时候。

I have loved the sunlight, the sky and the green earth;
我爱那阳光,那天空,那绿色的大地；

I have heard the liquid murmur of the river through the darkness of midnight.
我听河水淙淙的流声,自幽深的午夜里传过来！

Autumn sunsets have come to me at the bend of the road in the lonely waste, like a bride raising her veil to accept her lover.
秋天的夕阳在荒原上，在大路的转弯处,如新娘，轻掲面纱，迎接她的爱人。

Yet my memory is still sweet with the first white jasmines that I held in my hands when I was a child.
但如今那芳甜的记忆依然在我心：孩提时我初次捧在手中那朵茉莉花。

Many a glad day has come in my life, and I have laughed with merrymakers on festival nights.
我一生曾有许多快意的日子，在节庆的夜晚，我随众人笑语狂欢，

On grey mornings of rain I have crooned many an idle song.
在灰霾的雨天早晨，我吟咏着不成调的歌曲，

I have worn round my neck the evening wreath of bakulas woven by the hand of love.
在向晚的暮色中，我颈上戴着以爱亲手为我编织的花环。

Yet my heart is sweet with the memory of the first fresh jasmines that filled my hands when I was a child.
但至今那芳甜的记忆依旧在我心：孩提时我初次捧在手中的，那朵鲜嫩的茉莉！

I have had my invitation to this world's festival, and thus my life has been blessed.
我接到这世界节日的请柬，我的生命受了祝福。

Early in the day it was whispered that we should sail in a boat, only thou and I, and never a soul in the world would know of this our pilgrimage to no country and to no end.
在清晨的密语中，我们约定了同去泛舟，世界上没有一个人知道我们这无目的无终止的遨游。

In the meanwhile I smile and I sing all alone. In the meanwhile the air is filling with the perfume of promise.
这时我自歌自笑。这时空气里也充满着应许的芬芳。

The time that my journey takes is long and the way of it long.
我旅行的时间很长，旅途也是很长的。

I came out on the chariot of the first gleam of light, and pursued my voyage through the wildernesses of worlds leaving my track on many a star and planet.
天刚破晓，我就驱车起行，穿遍广漠的世界，在许多星球之上，留下辙痕。

Give me the strength lightly to bear my joys and sorrows.
请赐给我力量使我能轻闲地承受欢乐与忧伤。

Give me the strength to make my love fruitful in service.
请赐给我力量使我的爱在服务中得到果实。

Give me the strength never to disown the poor or bend my knees before insolent might.
请赐给我力量使我永不抛弃穷人也永不向淫威屈膝。

Give me the strength to raise my mind high above daily trifles.
请赐给我力量使我的心灵超越于日常琐事之上。

And give me the strength to surrender my strength to thy will with love.
再赐给我力量使我满怀爱意地把我的力量服从你意志的指挥。
