You may have heard that in Western culture, people don’t usually deflect compliment. Most of the time, they would say “thank you “ to a compliment. 大家可能经常听到在欧美文化当中，人们收到咱们得时候都会表达感谢，而不是像咱们中国人那么谦虚，哪里哪里Well, that’s true, but they would deflect a compliment someway, somehow, because they probably feel like they don’t deserve it. So things like that happen in really life, sometimes you feel you are not deserving the compliment. It would be a good idea that we at least know how to say that if you encounter a situation like that. Congratulations！ You did a great job!
Was it? I was so nervous! I thought I messed it up. 真的吗？我好紧张，我以为我搞砸啦
Did I? I was so nervous! I thought it was horrible. 我觉得特别不好
或者你可以加一点细节： I totally messed up the beginning: 我前面搞砸了
