中方已向53国援助疫苗

China is providing vaccine aid to 53 developing countries including Pakistan, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Monday. China has exported or is in the process of exporting vaccines to 22 countries, the spokesperson told a routine press briefing. 

外交部发言人汪文斌2月8日在例行记者会上表示，中方向巴基斯坦等53个发展中国家提供疫苗援助，已经和正在向22个国家出口疫苗。

China has taken concrete steps to honor its pledge to make vaccines global public goods, once available, with greater affordability and accessibility in developing countries, Wang said.

中方切实兑现承诺，在疫苗研发完成并投入使用后，将其作为全球公共产品，促进疫苗在发展中国家的可及性和可负担性。 

China has joined COVAX and decided to offer 10 million vaccines to the international sharing scheme, mainly to help meet the needs of developing countries, he added. 

中方积极参与世卫组织"新冠肺炎疫苗实施计划"，决定向"实施计划"提供1000万剂疫苗，主要用于发展中国家。

"China will continue its vaccine cooperation with relevant countries, offer support within its capability and make concrete contributions to securing a victory against the pandemic as soon as possible and to building a global community of health for all," Wang said.

汪文斌说，中方将继续同有关国家以不同方式开展疫苗合作，根据需要提供力所能及的支持和帮助，为早日战胜疫情、推动构建人类卫生健康共同体作出实实在在的贡献。

City resumes train service

时隔34天石家庄站重启

The first train from the northern Chinese city of Shijiazhuang departed on Tuesday after a monthlong suspension of the city's train services due to a COVID-19 resurgence. The train left Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, at 6:13 am and traveled to Hengshui, another city in the province. 

2月9日6时13分，一趟由河北省会石家庄市开往省内另一个城市衡水市的列车缓缓驶出，这是石家庄重启铁路客运服务后始发的第一趟列车。

The city last month tightened travel controls to curb the spread of the virus, taking measures including suspending public transport, passenger flights, trains and long-distance coach services, as well as restricting highway traffic. 

受新冠肺炎疫情影响，近一个月来由石家庄火车站始发的列车全部停运。1月，为遏制新冠病毒的传播，石家庄市收紧了交通管控，全市公共交通、飞机、火车和长途客运汽车暂停运营，高速公路通行严格管控。

Super Bowl crowd has cardboard fans

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the NFL had approximately 25,000 people in the stadium for the 55th Super Bowl, far fewer than the 70,000 fans that attended the big game last time it was held in Tampa, Florida. 

由于新冠疫情持续，有大约2.5万名球迷在体育场观看第55届美国职业橄榄球大联盟(NFL)年度总决赛，远少于上次在坦帕市举行时的7万名球迷。

To make up the difference, the NFL produced 30,000 cardboard cutouts of fans to fill most of the remaining seats. Unlike other sporting events, where cardboard cutouts are bunched together in the areas of the stadium that receive the most TV coverage, the fake Super Bowl fans were spread out to keep the real fans socially distant.

Hungary approves Chinese vaccine

中国疫苗在匈牙利获批

Hungary became the European Union's first member to approve China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, sealing a deal on Friday for 5 million doses. 

匈牙利成为首个批准使用中国国药集团新冠疫苗的欧盟成员国，并在1月29日与中方签订了购买500万剂疫苗的正式合同。

Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said the Sinopharm vaccines were enough to inoculate 2.5 million people, or about a quarter of its population, delivered in four batches over four months.

匈牙利外交部长彼得•西亚尔托说，中国国药集团研发的新冠疫苗将分4批在4个月内交付匈牙利，足够250万人接种，大约相当于匈牙利全国人口的四分之一。

Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he would personally opt to receive the Chinese vaccine, as he trusted it more than others.

Hungary's drug regulator gave emergency use approval to the Sinopharm vaccine rather than wait for the bloc's European Medicines Agency to give the go-ahead, adding it to a list that also includes the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines as well as Russia's Sputnik-V.
