Day72：Which timer was a load of of old rope？

About 400 years ago a ship’s speed was measured with a log tied to a knotted rope. The sailors threw the log overboard, and counted how many knots unwound as the ship moved forward. They used a sandglass to time it accurately. Sailors still masure a ship’s speed in knots today. One knot is just under two kilometers an hour.
