Once upon a time, there was a king with four wives. One day the king got sick and was on his deathbed.
从前，有一位国王，他有四个妻子。一天，国王病重卧床，危在旦夕。
Afraid of being in the afterlife alone, he asked his fourth wife which he loved the most and bought her diamonds and gold and elegant clothing.
由于害怕独自投胎转世，他就去问他最爱的第四个妻子，自己经常给她买钻石、黄金和优雅的衣服。
He asked her, "Would you die with me? And go with me to the afterlife?" The fourth wife replied, "I'm sorry, I can't do that." And walked away.
他说：“你愿意和我一起死去吗？愿意来世还与我在一起吗？”第四个妻子回答说：“很遗憾，我不能这样做。”说完就转身走开了。
He also loved his third wife and was very proud and would show her off to neighboring kingdoms. So he called on his third wife and asked, "Would you accompany me to the afterlife?" The third wife replied, "I love my life too much. And I'm sorry, I cannot go with you. And when you die, I'm going to remarry."
他也爱他的第三个妻子，以有她这样的妻子为荣，并经常向向邻国炫耀。于是，他问第三个妻子：“你愿意陪我到来世吗？”妻子回答说：“我太热爱生活了，我不能和你一起死去，而且，在你去世后，我会再婚的。”
