25 years old, make enough mistakes. Don't worry. You fall, you stand up. You fall, you stand up. Enjoy it, I mean, 25 years old, enjoy the show, enjoy the show. From 30 to 40 years old, you have to think very clearly. Were you working for yourself, if you really want to be entrepreneur. So 40 to 50, think about, how can you focus on things that you are good at. But when you are 50 to 60 years old, work for the young people because young people can do better than you. So rely on them, invest on them, making sure they're good.
25岁，犯足够多的错误。别担心，跌倒了，就站起来。跌倒了，再站起来。我的意思是，享受它，如果你25岁，那么你应该去享受它，去体验它。从30到40岁，你必须清醒的思考，你正在为自己工作吗？如果你真的想成为企业家。所以40到50岁想想如何才能聚焦于你擅长的事情上。当时当你50到60岁时，为年轻人工作。应为年轻人可以做的比你好。所以信任他们，投资它们，确保他们是好的。

So 25 years old. Don't worry. Any mistake is an income, is a wonderful revenue for you. In the future, it's not about the competition of knowledge. It's the competition of creativity, it's a competition of imagination, it's a competition of learning, it's a competition of independent thinking. If you think like a machine, the problem will come.

In the past 20 years, we make people like a machine. In the next 20 years, machines will look like people. So in the future, it's not knowledge driven, it's the wisdom driven, it's the experience driven. In the past it's the knowledge driven and it's the manufacturing driven. And in the future, it's the creativity driven.
在过去的20年里，人们像机器一样。在接下来的20年里，机器像人。所以，未来不是知识驱动的，是智慧驱动的。过去是知识驱动的，这是制造业的驱动力。在未来，是创造力驱动的。

I think next 30 years, the world is going to change a lot. The new technology is going to change every aspect of the world. So this is what we think, the world should be focusing on not only the IQ, EQ but also focus on LQ, the Q of Love. Because only when you care for the others, only when you care for the others that succeed and are more successful than you are, you have the chance. 10 years ago, internet was so good. When nobody believed internet, it was so good. Now internet is so tough because all the smart people go to internet. So you should go to the off ground.
我认为在未来30年，世界将发生很大变化。新技术会改变世界的方方面面。所以这就是我们的想法。世界应该关注的，不只是智商、情商，还应该关注LQ（爱商）。因为只有当你关心别人的时候，只有当你关心那些成功的人，和比你更成功的人，你将有机会。10年前，当没人相信互联网很棒的时候，互联网太棒了。现在互联网太难了，因为所有聪明的人都在互联网。所以你应该跳出去。

Funny things like I failed in a key primary school test for two times and I failed like three times for the middle schools. No I tried, there is an examination that, young people, if you want to go university, you have to take the examinations. So I failed three times. When I graduated from university, and before, for three years I tried and failed in the universities. So I applyed for jobs for 30 times, got rejected. I went for a police, they said“No, you're not good”I went to even the KFC, when KFC came to China, came to my city.
有趣的是，一所重点小学的考试，我失败了两次。考中学时，我失败了三次。我试过，有一个关于年轻人的考试。如果你想上大学，你必须参加这个考试。我失败了三次。当我大学毕业的时候，我努力了三年，但是失败了。所以我申请工作。我想去当警察，他们说：“不，你不够好。”当肯德基来到我的城市的时候，我去了肯德基。

- 24 people went for the job, 23 people were accepted, I was the only guy.
24个人去求职，23个人被接受了。我是唯一一个没被接受的。

And we went for the police, 5 people, 4 of them accepted. I was the only guy they're not receiving. So to me, being turned down, rejected. Oh, by the way, I told you that I applied for Harvard for 10 times, rejected.
我去申请当警察，五个人里四个人都通过了。我是唯一一个被拒绝的。对我来说，被拒绝、排斥。哦顺便说一句，我告诉你，我申请了10次哈佛大学，也被拒绝了。

-Why do you like him?

-Simple. Never give up. People thinking he's dumb, but he knows what he's doing. And I was very depressed
很简单。因为他从不放弃。人们认为他很傻，但是他知道自己在做什么。我很受触动。

the day... the year 2002 or 2003, in the United States. I was very depressed when I could not find out a way for the internet. And then I watch the movie, in my friend's home Forrest Gump. When I see him I think, "This is the guy, we should learn from him."
在美国，2002年或者2003年的一天。因为我很难在互联网行业找到一席之地，我很沮丧。然后我去我朋友的家里看了《阿甘正传》这部电影。我看到他之后，想，我应该向他学习。

Believe in what you're doing. Love it. Whether people like it or don't like it, be simple. And like the words, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you can get, right? I never knew I would be here talking to you, I never know. But today I made it. I told my people in my apartment, 18, 15 years ago. Guys we have to work hard, not for ourselves, if we can be successful, 80% of the young people in China can be successful. We don't have a rich father, a powerful uncle, we don't get one dollar from bank, one cent from government. Just work as a team.
请相信你正在做的事，并热爱它。不要管其他人喜欢或者不喜欢，简单点。有一句话是这么说的：“生活就像一盒巧克力，你永远不知道你能得到什么，对吧？”我从来也没想过我可能会在这里和你对话，我从来没想过。但是今天我做到了。18年还是15年之前，我在我的公寓里告诉我的伙伴，伙计们，我们得努力工作，不是为了我们。如果我们都可以成功，那么中国80%的年轻人都能成功。我们没有有钱的父亲，也没有有权的叔叔，我们没从银行和政府那一分钱。我们只是像一个团队一样努力工作。

I worry about it today, young people, a lot of young people lose hope, lose vision and start to complain. We also have the same problem. It's not a good feeling being rejected by so many people. We also depressed. But at least later we find that the world has a lot of opportunities. How you see the world? How you catch the opportunity? So... and Hollywood gave me a lot of inspiration.
我现在很担心年轻人，因为很多年轻人他们失去了希望，他们失去了想象力，开始抱怨。我们有同样的问题。被很多人拒绝不好受，我们一样沮丧。但是至少后来我们发现这个世界上有很多机会。你怎么看这个世界？你怎么抓住机会？所以，好莱坞电影给我很多鼓励。

I, at the beginning I never thought...I thought when I was young I said, "Everything is possible". Now I know not everything is possible. When you have something, you have to think about, you have to consider about the others, you have to consider about the customer, society, your employees, the shareholders. There are so many things that I think if you continue to work hard there's possibility. It's not... if you don't do it, nothing is possible. If you try to do it, at least you have the hope.
我，一开始我从未想过......我想当我年轻的时候，我说，"一切皆有可能"。现在我知道不是一切都有可能。当你拥有一些东西时，你必须考虑到，你必须考虑到其他人，你必须考虑到客户、社会、你的员工、股东。有这么多事情，我认为如果你继续努力工作，就有可能。这不是......如果你不做，什么都不可能。如果你努力去做，至少你有希望。

Calm down, there's always a way out. And keep yourself balanced. And meanwhile, don't try to...because business is a compt...Competition is fun. Business is not a battlefield, you die or I win. Business... even if you die I may not win. So it's about, it's about fun.
冷静下来，总会有出路的。并保持自己的平衡。同时，不要试图......因为商业是一种竞争......竞争是一种乐趣。生意不是战场，你不死我就赢。商业是......即使你死了，我也不一定会赢。所以这是关于乐趣的事。

Tell them the story, and tell them that if Jack... I don't think in this world a lot of people be rejected more than 30 times. If we, you know, the only thing we never give up, the only thing like, we're like Forrest Gump. We keep on fighting, we keep on changing ourself. We don't complain. Whether you are successful or not successful. I find that when people, when they finish the job, if they make a mistake and they fail, if they always complained to others, this guy will never come back. If the guy only check himself, "Yeah. Something wrong with me here,something wrong with me there." This guy has hope.
告诉他们这个故事，并告诉他们，如果马云... 我不认为在这个世界上有很多人被拒绝超过30次。 如果我们，你知道，唯一的事情是我们永远不会放弃，唯一的事情是，我们就像阿甘一样。我们继续战斗，我们继续改变自己。我们不抱怨。无论你是成功还是不成功。我发现，当人们，当他们完成工作时，如果他们犯了一个错误，他们失败了，如果他们总是向别人抱怨，这个人将永远不会进步。如果这个人只检查自己，"是的。我这里出了问题，我那里出了问题。" 这个人就有希望。

So many people I talked to at that time for AliPay, they say "this is the stupidest idea you have ever got." But I say, "I don't care if it's stupid or clever as long as people use it" Now we have 800 million people using this AliPay. 1999, year 2000, and even at the Yahoo time, a lot of people say, "This Jack is crazy. He's doing something that we don't understand." And a lot of venture capitals give you money because there is such a American model already there. But they say, Alibaba we don't see this kind of model, right?
所以当时我为了支付宝和很多人谈，他们说 "这是你有史以来最愚蠢的想法"。但我说，"我不在乎它是愚蠢还是聪明，只要人们使用它。"现在我们有8亿人在使用支付宝。1999年，2000年，甚至在雅虎的时候，很多人都说，"这个马云是个疯子。他在做一些我们懂的事情"。而很多风险资本给你钱，因为美国已经有了一个样本。但是他们说，从阿里巴巴身上，我们没有看到这种模式，对吗？

I mean I remember my first time in Time magazine,they called me crazy Jack, and I, I think crazy is good. We are crazy but we're not stupid. We know what we are doing. but if everybody agree with me, if everybody believed my- our idea is good, we have no chance. So that's... the money we raised, we're very thankful. So, when our investors make a lot of money, I feel proud and honored.
我记得我第一次上《时代》杂志，他们叫我疯狂的马云，而我认为疯狂是好事。我们很疯狂，但我们并不愚蠢。我们知道我们在做什么。但如果每个人都同意我，如果每个人都相信我--我们的想法是好的，那我们就没有机会了。所以对于赚到的钱，我们非常感谢。因此，当我们的投资者赚了很多钱时，我感到自豪和荣幸。

Everybody is made unique and different, so you must have a unique and different way. A lot of people today have a lot of complaints, say, "I don't have opportunity." I complained a lot when I was young, and suddenly I realized complaining does not solve any problem. Where the opportunity always in the place where people complain. There are so many opportunities in this world, because there are so many complaints. If you can solve one of the complaints, that's the opportunity. So this is what  we made.
每个人都是独一无二的，不同的，所以你必须有一个独特的，不同的方式。今天很多人都有很多抱怨，说 “我没有机会”。我年轻的时候也经常抱怨，但我发现抱怨并不能解决任何问题。机会总是在人们抱怨的地方。这个世界上有那么多的机会，因为有那么多的抱怨。如果你能解决其中的一个抱怨，这就是机会。所以这就是我们所做的。

I think young people, if my advice is to be an entrepreneur, don't be scared of failure, of setbacks and don't give up. When we start the business, we had 18 founders including me. 17 of them, most of them my students and most of them... Well, today people think, these 18 people, the smartest people in China. We don't think we are smart. Honestly, we all graduate from the very poor schools. The only thing we did, we were very united, we all believed in the future, we are all optimistic, and we learn through mistakes, we never give up.
我认为年轻人，如果要为成为一个企业家给出建议，那就是，不要害怕失败，不要害怕挫折，不要放弃。当我们开始创业时，包括我在内，我们有18个人。他们中的17人，大多数是我的学生，他们中的大多数... 嗯，今天人们认为，这18个人，是中国最聪明的人。我们不认为我们很聪明。说实话，我们都是从非常一般的学校毕业的。我们唯一做到的是，我们非常团结，我们都相信未来，我们都很乐观，我们从错误中学习，我们从不放弃。

If you graduate from famous university, please, respect the people who graduate from the poor schools. Those people like us graduate from poor universities, please respect yourself. We have chance. We made so many mistakes. People say, "You are lucky"  Yes, we are very lucky. We took only 19 years to today's size .But we have gone through so many tough situations. We made so many mistakes that people cannot even imagine. In probably 19 years, you have gone through so many tough experiences and that will make you different.
如果你从著名的大学毕业，请你尊重那些从一般学校毕业的人。像我们这样毕业于一般大学的人，请尊重自己。我们有机会。我们犯了这么多的错误。人们说，"你很幸运。"是的，我们非常幸运。我们只用了19年时间就达到了今天的规模。但我们经历了这么多艰难的情况。我们犯了这么多人们无法想象的错误。可能在19年里，正因为你们经历了这么多艰难的经历，才使你们与众不同。
