The Nails and the Fence
[00:08.85]There was a little boy with a bad temper. 
[00:13.56]His father gave him a bag of nails 
[00:16.62]and told him that every time he lost his temper, 
[00:20.24]to hammer a nail in the back fence. 
[00:23.19]The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
[00:27.75]Then it gradually dwindled down.

[00:34.50] than to drive those nails into the fence.

[00:39.39] when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.

[01:05.44]but look at the holes in the fence. 
[01:07.36]The fence will never be the same.

[01:11.98] they leave a scar just like this one.
[01:14.63] You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. 
[01:17.51]It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, 
[01:21.07]as the wound is still there.
[01:23.47] A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. 
[01:26.48]Sometimes, it only takes a few seconds 
[01:29.67]to open profound wounds in those you love,
[01:32.45] but it can take many years to heal them. 
[01:35.13]So remember to show your friends how much you care.
[01:38.87] Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
