I. Preparing the Dough
和面
Mom: Let's start by preparing the dough.
妈妈:咱们先和面。
We're going to use flour and water to make the dough.
我们要用面粉和水来和面。
Pour some flour into a large mixing bowl and stir the flour as you slowly add water.
把一些面粉倒在一个盆里,一边搅拌面粉,一边加水。
Child: Okay. I can stir as you pour.
宝宝:好的。我来搅拌你来倒。
Mom: Sounds good.
妈妈:好的。
When the flour starts to cake, it's time for us to use our hands to work on the dough.
面粉开始结块的时候,我们就可以下手和面了。
Child: It's going to get a little messy!
宝宝:会到处都是面的!
Mom: That is very likely.
妈妈:很有可能。
Hold the edge of the bowl with one hand and use the other hand to knead the dough until it becomes smooth.
一只手握住盆边儿,另一只手揉面,直到表面光滑为止。
The dough is ready when the bowl and your hands are clean and no longer sticky.
盆和手都很干净不粘的时候,面就和好了。
Child: It's so sticky!
宝宝:好粘啊!
