We are large seabirds.
 
Where do you live?
Brown pelicans live in North America.
We live along the coast.
We like the ocean.
 
Where do you lay eggs?
We make nests on cliffs.
Sometimes we make nests in trees.
 
Do you live alone?
No. Brown pelicans live in groups.
We like to fly over the water together.
 
What do you eat?
We mostly eat fish.
Sometimes we eat shrimp or crabs.
 
How do you find food?
We hunt from up in the air.
Then we dive down.
And we scoop up fish!
 
You have a big bill!
Our bills have pouches.
We can catch lots of fish with them.
