2.2 我们该不该养宠物（下）

In modern society, people spend a lot of money on their pets. Some people think this is a waste of money, and argue that pets are dirty and dangerous? To what extent do you agree or disagree?

1. Learning to care for a pet helps a child to grow up into a loving adult, statistics shows that children raising pets will become more tolerant, loving and understanding in their adulthood　

2. Bring lots of joy and laughter, A pet is kept as a companion that makes us feel happy. It's suggested that pets should be sent to astronauts in a spacecraft to help reduce their loneliness, depression and stress

3. A pet dog brings its owner a sense of confidence, for he shall see that faithfulness does exist and he does have something to trust.

4. Children who own pets are often less self centred than those who do not. Owning a pet can teach a child about the responsibilities of life

5. Mentally ill people were happier as a result of looking after a pet.

1.  Keeping pets is just a waste of time and resources, a distraction from your work and study,People nowadays are so crazy about pets that they even neglect caring for their own children.

2.  The growing number of pets has caused serious hygiene problems that cannot be solved. Some of them disseminate diseases like rabies

3.  Pet dogs and cats of both sexes should be sterilized because their owners don't have enough time for too many of them, yet it is cruel and inhumane for pets

4.  As a matter of fact those who keep pets don't always treat their pets with kindness. They sometimes abandon their pets when they go away on holiday

6.  It's really against nature to cage birds, chain dogs and keep cats within the house.

7.  Pets are animals. They should be seen in their natural habitat rather than in the homes of human beings.
