FDI inflow up 37.9% in first two months
前2月全国吸收外资同比增长37.9%

Foreign direct investment into the Chinese mainland, in actual use, expanded 37.9 percent year-on-year to 243.7 billion yuan in the January-February period, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Monday. 
商务部3月14日发布的数据显示，今年前2月，我国实际使用外资金额2437亿元，同比增长37.9%。

The service industry saw FDI inflows jump by 24 percent year-on-year to 175.7 billion yuan, while those in high-tech industries surged by 73.8 percent from a year earlier, data from the ministry shows. During the period, investment from countries along the Belt and Road and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations climbed by 27.8 percent and 25.5 percent, respectively.
从行业看，服务业实际使用外资金额1757亿元，同比增长24%。高技术产业实际使用外资同比增长73.8%。从来源地看，“一带一路”沿线国家和东盟实际投资同比分别增长27.8%和25.5%。

China is on its way to lead the world in AI applications, the National Interest reported on Sunday. New artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technologies applied in the recent Beijing Winter Olympics demonstrate China's strong technological advantages. 
美国《国家利益》双月刊网站3月13日刊文称，中国正在人工智能应用领域引领世界。最近举行的北京冬奥会上，中国推出新的人工智能（AI）和机器人技术，展示了中国强大的技术优势。

US astronaut to ride Russian spacecraft home

Russian space agency, Roscosmos, announced on Monday that it would fulfill its commitments regarding the International Space Station (ISS) and return an American astronaut to Earth on board Russia's space capsule vehicle as scheduled. 
当地时间3月14日，俄罗斯联邦航天局表示，将履行国家空间站相关承诺，让美国航天员搭乘俄罗斯飞船返回地球。

“Roscosmos has never given any reason to doubt its reliability as a partner. Safe operations of the staff on the ISS orbit is our top priority. American astronaut Mark Vande Hei will return to Earth on March 30 on board the Russian Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft along with Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov,” the space agency press office confirmed.
