The broken records
Mrs. Hunt: Has everything been packed?
Mr. Hunt: Yes, I think so. The children have taken their suitcases downstairs. 
Mrs. Hunt: Did they do it themselves?
Mr. Hunt: Simon carried his down himself. Jane asked the porter to carry hers down because she couldn’t lift it herself.
Mrs. Hunt: How did Simon pack his records?
Mr. Hunt: I don’t know. Here he is. You can ask him yourself.
Mrs. Hunt: How did you pack your records, Simon?
Simon: I didn’t need to pack them. 
Mrs. Hunt: Why?
Simon: I broke them.
Mrs. Hunt: How did you do that?
Simon: Oh, it was easy. I brought them into the room this morning. I put them in the middle of the bed, where I could see them. Then I went downstairs and when I came back I sat on them.
