1.ENGINE TESTED FOR LARGE CRUISE SHIP BEING BUILT IN SHANGHAI
国产大型邮轮完成发动机测试
An engine for the first Chinese-made cruise ship has been tested today, marking a new phase in the shipbuilding process. Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Corporation is building it. Zhang Hong brings us the details.
今天（7月1日），由中国船舶集团旗下上海外高桥造船有限公司建造的中国首制大型邮轮，顺利实现首台主发电机/动车的重大节点，这也标志着邮轮建造从舾装安装阶段，全面进入设备功能调试阶段。记者张泓为我们带来详细报道。

The first domestically made large cruise ship has 5 high-powered engines. Their combined power hits 62,400 kilowatts, similar to the installed capacity of a small to medium-sized hydropower station【水电站】. The engine tested today has 9,600-kilowatts of power and will serve as the heart of the cruise ship.
首制大型邮轮共配置了5台大功率发电机，整个电力系统的总功率达到62400千瓦，类似于长江上游一座中小型水利发电站的装机容量。今天测试的发动机是邮轮的“心脏”，其功率达9600千瓦。

The engine generates power to propel the ship, and provides electricity to cabins, air-conditioning and lighting. The ship requires 20 times as much electricity as a bulk carrier【散装货船】. 
发电机组提供船的动力，为所有房舱、房舱的空调系统还有照明系统供电。这个邮轮用电量相当于于散货轮的20倍。

The ship will measure 323.6 meters long, 37.2 meters wide and 72.2 meters tall upon completion. With 2,125 guest rooms, the ship will have a capacity of 5,246 passengers. These modules that look like closets are actually passenger cabins and will be installed soon.
这艘建设中的邮轮，总长323.6米，最大船宽达37.2米，船高72.2米，未来最多可容纳乘客5246人，拥有客房2125间。这些像柜子一样排列整齐的模块，就是房舱的预制模块，它们即将完成安装。

There will be a living area, a small desk and a bathroom in the cabin. It’s over 10 square meters and can accommodate 1 to 2 people. 
它里面有几个功能区，有居住的地方，还有写字台和一个洗浴的空间。这样一个房间面积在十平方米左右，基本上可以容纳1到2个人居住。

The ship will also have a restaurant, a shopping mall and more than 10,000 square meters of decks. A glass ceiling has been installed above the swimming pool on the deck【甲板】 and can be opened or closed depending on the weather. The ship is expected to be completed next year.
此外，邮轮上还配备餐厅、商场等功能区和超过1万平方米的露天甲板活动区域。10层甲板区未来会被打造成一个含有游泳池的户外休闲活动区域。在泳池上方已经安装好了一套天幕系统，这就好像是汽车的天窗玻璃。未来当邮轮航行在海洋上的时候，也可以根据海上的天气情况，选择开启或者收缩天幕。该邮轮预计将于明年完工。

2.MUSEUM AND ART GALLERIES REOPEN
上海博物馆恢复开放
Museums, art galleries and all A-level scenic spots in Shanghai reopened today. All have limited the number of visitors to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. Lei Shuran has more.
上海7月1日起逐步恢复开放博物馆、美术馆、A级旅游景区。这些场馆、景点，都严格落实防疫措施，控制游客人流量，以降低新冠病毒传播的风险。记者雷舒然为我们带来详细报道。

At 8:30 am, visitors started to queue outside Shanghai Museum. After 45 minutes, they entered after scanning the venue code【场所码】, and passing both security and temperature checks. The museum gave each visitor a customized【定制的】 mask with a tiger on it. The exhibition "Treasure of Prosperity -- Gifts for Shanghai Museum" was for many, the main attraction to come today.
上午8:30，上海博物馆门口就已经排起了队。45分钟后，经过扫码、安检、测体温等防疫流程，观众有序入场。当日，上海博物馆还为首日入馆的每位观众准备了一份惊喜——印有老虎图案的周边文创口罩。3月10号，上博临时闭馆，而前一天刚开幕的"盛世芳华----上海博物馆受赠文物展"也被迫与观众暂别。今天，很多观众都专程为特展而来。

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the Museum of Art Pudong also reopened. Cinemas, theaters, libraries and concert halls will be allowed to reopen at reduced capacity on July 8th.

A ship carring 7,000 ton of grain set sail from Ukraine’s occupied port city of Berdyansk, in what Russian officials say is the first such shipment from a Ukrainian port since the conflict began. Stephen Rancourt has the story.

Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday denied that Moscow was blocking Ukrainian grain exports. Putin repeated Russia’s assertion that Western sanctions【制裁】 are to blame for problems on the global food market and rising prices.The United Nations has said the world is facing an "unprecedented hunger crisis" due to plunging grain exports as a result of the conflict in Ukraine, and that ensuring Ukraine can export agricultural products is key to resolving the issue.

However, US President Joe Biden said Russia is the reason people are spending more at the pump during the NATO summit. He’s talking with allies about setting a cap on the price of Russian oil, limiting how much money that Moscow can make from its exports.

The United Nations estimated in early May that 22 million tons of grain was stuck in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in June that this could rise to 75 million tons by this autumn. Putin also said he wanted Russia to maintain its position as the world’s largest wheat【小麦】 exporter. It currently accounts for around a fifth of global sales.
