Time: friend or enemy?

It's definitely a friend, because life, for me, is about making special memories.

How many Longines watches do you have?

你有多少块浪琴的手表？

Well, the problem I have with the Longines watches that I own is that they keep disappearing, because I now have these teenage children who realize that it's very cool to have a nice watch.

嗯...问题在于我所有的浪琴手表都会不断消失，因为我家几个十几岁的孩子，他们觉得戴一块漂亮的手表是很酷的。

Any special memory about one of them?

你对其中某一块有什么特别的回忆吗？

There's a 1940s Longines watch there's something about the life that that watch had before it came to me, and it kept time for that person and it had a rhythm that involved someone else, and I so I feel almost like a custodian of this Longines piece that I bought for myself.

有一块20世纪40年代的浪琴表，那块表在我出现之前有一些关于生活的东西，它为前任主人走时，它参与了某人的生活节奏，所以我觉得为自己买的这块表，不过是这块浪琴表的保管人。

How do you feel about new Longines watch DolceVita XYVY designed by Yvonne Reichmuth?

You sometimes have to think out of the box and do something differently. And you do look to these brilliant leather craftsmen and see what they have to offer and in this case, it's a woman.

So that is just so exciting. This is what we need at the moment, this is what we want, what we crave, this is just a master stroke as far as I'm concerned, in terms of Longines and their collaboration with her.

How do you view your fashion?

For me, it's more like playing dress-up in those moments when I have to walk down a red carpet or something. And also I want to be comfortable too.

You know, when I was younger, I could handle like corsets or I could handle, you know, there may be a slightly scratchy fabric or something that was difficult to wear, and now I just have no tolerance, I'm like, “Oh, my god, no, I just want to be comfortable.

You definition of elegance?

Someone who is comfortable in their own skin. Someone who can walk through the world with intention. That's an elegant person.

What do you do between shooting two scenes?

你在拍摄间隙会做什么？

It depends on the type of film. With something like Titanic, for example, when so much of that film was shot at night, you know, it was a seven and a half month shoot.

这取决于电影的类型。比如像《泰坦尼克号》这样的电影，有很多场景都是在晚上拍摄的，那个拍摄长达七个半月。

So there was often a lot of waiting around during that time and what I would do, honestly, I would read, I would always be thinking ahead, what are we filming tomorrow, what's coming next week? I just feel like I'm there to work and so I just fill the time with work. I've always done that.

因此在那段时间里，经常有很多人在等待，事实上我会读书，我会提前想好，我们明天要拍什么，下周要拍什么？我觉得我在那里是为了工作，所以我只是用工作来填补时间。我一直都是这样做的。

What “dream moment” do you wish for?

To keep having the time to balance life and work. And that I keep doing my job, because I just love it so much. And every time I'm on a film set, I'm still so grateful and I'm still so excited.
